I took this as a step up from shaming, there are brothers promoting and sharing the philosophy in real life, not hiding behind an avatar. There throwing us in the domestic terror group, the sign of mgtow is the equivalent of a swastika to some. Porn channels, sexist/violent video games, alt-right racists, 4chan trolls, neo-Nazis, MRAs, MGTOWs, PUAs, and so on: The mainstream media is always trying to conflate and mash up all these things into a big stew of murderous, politically-incorrect man-children-trolls who need to be swatted down by all decent-thinking people.

There’s probably some crossover among the groups at the fringes. But really, the only things that all of these various groups have in common is that they’re all on the internet, and they’re all politically incorrect by today’s standards.

Meantime, the Japanese herbivores (MGTOW’s nearest real comparison?) gets benevolent press. The mainstream media treats the foreign herbivores as a cute, harmless phenomenon.
