George W. Bush’s popularity is now approaching the level enjoyed by Barack Obama, as both presidents’ favorabilities among Americans climb in their retirement.

Bush’s favorability is currently at 59%, with Obama’s at 63%, per a Monday-published poll from Gallup.

    Per Gallup’s Lydia Saad:

Former President George W. Bush’s national image continues to improve in his retirement, with his favorable rating rising seven percentage points over the past year to 59%. This continues the fairly steady improvement in Bush’s favorable rating since it registered a meager 35% at the start of his post-presidential years in March 2009.

So old Jr is getting really popular with the media when he isn’t in power anymore. If he was in power, he would still be getting hell from the media and anyone who would listen. But anyway, Jr is almost as popular as Barry, Isn’t that wonderful!!

    Thoughts??

Being out of politics and the public eye really helps. It doesn’t change his record as President in my opinion. Average people are very fickle so I don’t put any weight on their opinion. He is still #36 out of #43 in the aggregate rankings. Check the link and sort by the aggregate column on the far right.

    Presidential Rankings

Lincoln is #1, followed by FDR and GW. Teddy and TJ round out the top 5.

FDR and GW should be switched.

    I agree.

And in terms of Obama, he is actually ranked #17 out of #43 in the aggregate. That was as bit surprising.

Honestly, everytime i hear of George Bush, I think of 911 inside job. I like Barack Obama. I really don’t care to much about politics anyway, so if he becomes more popular or not doesn’t really matter to me.

Obama’s legacy…ran up the national debt by 10 trillion, quadrupled the money supply, more people on welfare and handout programs than ever before, he attacked more sovereign nations that Bush, and race relations is the worst it has been in decades. He should be in the top 5 if you are looking at the list upside down.

8 years of Bush followed by 8 years of Obama has all but destroyed the good ole’ USA. Honestly, 9/11 looked like a controlled demolition. I thought so in 2001 as a 13 year old boy and I think so now as a 30 year old engineer. George W. seemed as surprised as anyone but Bush Sr. probably knew what was going on. They started a war we could not win when they invaded Iraq, bypassed the Bill of Rights with the Patriot Act and implemented a slew of Orwellian policies. Then the Economy crashed in 2007. I would say Bush is probably one of the worst presidents we ever had. USA was doing pretty well in 1999 right before Bush came in. After he left, the country was in an awfully big mess.

Obama took us further down the s~~~ vortex, while injecting racial tensions into every topic under the sun. Bush and Obama, 16 years of self-destruction. Trump is going to need a big f~~~ing shovel to dig us out of this s~~~!
