Women are predisposed by their genetics to have affairs as “back-up plans'” if their relationships fail, according to a research paper.

Scientists at the University of Texas say they are challenging the assumption that humans have evolved to have monogamous relationships.

The team’s research has put forward the “mate-switching-hypothesis” which says humans have evolved to keep testing their relationships and looking for better long-term options.

The senior author of the research, Dr David Buss, told the Sunday Times: “Lifelong monogamy does not characterise the primary mating patterns of humans.

“Breaking up with one partner and mating with another may more accurately characterise the common, perhaps the primary, mating strategy of humans.”

For our distant ancestors – when disease, poor diet and minimal healthcare meant that few people lived past 30 – looking for a more suitable partner was necessary, researchers assert.

Despite anecdotal claims about cheatng, no study has shown that humans are predisposed to monogamy or non-monogamy.

A study carried out by Rafael Wlodarski and a team of researchers at Oxford University looking into infidelity found a correlation between the length of a individual’s ring finger and the likelihood that they would cheat on a partner.

However, they stressed that they could not find a causal link.

Professor Robin Dunbar of Oxford University said the differences were “subtle” and “only visible when we look at large groups of people”.

“Human behaviour is influenced by many factors, such as the environment and life experience, and what happens in the womb might only have a modest effect on something as complex as sexual relationships,” he said.

Dr Buss said: “Affairs serve as a form of mate insurance, keeping a back-up mate should a switch become warranted in the future.’

“A regular mate may cheat, defect, die, or decline in mate value.

“Ancestral women lacking a back-up mate would have suffered a lapse in protection, and resources.”

It makes sense to me. Genetics is everything when it comes to physical survival. The more diverse the offsprings’ genes, the higher the chances that one or more of them will survive to breed the next generation.

Spiritual growth is another thing entirely. Betraying sworn oaths and promises works against that. What a bind our species is in.

Truth:

The more monogamous primates and other animals are the smaller the testicles as these males don’t have to worry about false identification of pregnancy. They know the offspring are theirs and resources put in will ensure propagation of their genes.

Chimps f~~~ like whores in heat. A chimp female will gang bang the entire tribe regularly. This is a fact easily observed of chimps.

Chimps have the largest testicles among primates. So, the more semen a chimp male makes, the more likely he is to pass on his genes.

Gorilla’s have the smallest b~~~~ of the primates and they use a harem method of procreating with one male having a harem of females that mate with one gorilla male.

Humans have testicles that are sized in between Chimps and Gorilla’s.

The theory is that humans are more like chimps that Gorilla’s and explains the hook up culture on campus and the number of gang bangs reported when college women are allowed to f~~~ any man who looks their way.

So, with overwhelming evidence now that only men are truly able to honor such a commitment, I would like to state my new-found support in favor of (male) gay marriage.

Following the Obamacare “solution”, a Repeal & Replace strategy should have been followed. Vote in the gay deal, and repeal any marriage contract that would require a female to lie about her commitment.

Why? I’m channeling @KM here, but humans are the only ‘animals’ that are aware of the consequences of their actions. They understand that f~~~ing leads to babies leads to everything society has constructed around that. An animal doesn’t comprehend that.

So if you lock a male and female human in a room with a promise that if they f~~~, you will gas them to death…1000 times out of a 1000…they will not f~~~. Do the same experiment with chimps…you will have a ton of dead chimps. They don’t know any better.

I’m not saying the genetics doesn’t matter, but that consequences for actions are going to override natural/genetic behavior every time.

Women didn’t cheat and hookup in the volume they do today because the consequences were severe and didn’t allow them to. Men are choosing MGTOW not because it matches their genetic disposition, but because of the consequences of not going MGTOW.

Honestly, I don’t know how you could really test the natural sexual behavior of men and women because you could never truly remove consequences of their actions, or stop them from thinking about consequences.

When someone tries to say that being non-monogamous is natural, what they are really saying is “let’s change the rules of society so that I can f~~~ whoever want with less negative consequences”. Which is all fine and dandy on the surface, except that negative consequences aren’t just a social construct. Negative consequences can’t always just disappear because we want them to…someone has to suffer.

So who needs to do the suffering? The person who committed the act or someone is not remotely responsible? These days, people believe big daddy government can absorb it all. Or maybe it’s men because they are evil and are built to handle it more. Or maybe it’s a certain race or social class…because they’ve had it good for too long now.

Whatever. But genetics? I don’t care. Society trumps genetics in humans every time.
