Generation Z: Conservatism is the New Counter-Culture

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m almost 40 years old and this is news to me. Generation ‘Z’ – the next generation after the millennial’s – are expected to be the most conservative generation we have seen in decades.

This makes sense, to the extent that what’s deemed as chic is typically equated to what is counter-culture; and conservative views are definitely counter-culture in todays society.

Below is a brief video on the subject:

What’s really interesting are some of the comments on youtube from the alleged Generation Z confirming this. Those can be found on a longer video (linked below). I wanted to give the short and skinny version, because not all of us like watching 30 minute videos. Below are the comments, and the link to the original (longer) video, in which they can be found.

Each of the quotes below are separate quotes by different individuals. I simply ‘block quoted’ the entire thing for my convenience.

” I was born in 2000, which makes me one of the oldest members of gen z. I can confirm that my peers and I are all very conservative, we hate big government, support traditional family values, we hate the fact that under the current system we’d have to pay an insane amount of tax when we’re working, and despise our liberal and profane culture”…

This is exactly HALF of the narrative that runs through my head. Hell, I don’t want the Millenial generation in charge when I’m old and helpless.

The other half of my brain wants me to see society get their just deserts…I know in one sense that’s perverted, but it serves a sense of poetic justice. The injustice of the modern liberals need to be purged through the fire of justice.

I’m still half and half on this, in my view.

I was going to bring this aspect up in my OP, but didn’t want to make it too convoluted w/too many notions.

I agree. I’m not sure what I believe at this point. It almost sounds too good to be true.

I will say, anecdotally, I’ve been around a few early 20 somethings (which seems to be a cut off in between the milenialls and gen z) and they have been EXTREMELY conservative in both their political and social views.

I even asked one of them – “are these views the norm amongst your peers?” And he said they were.

Time will tell though.

Actually, it is clear that something has broken within the globalist/progressive/SJW movements after the Nov 2016 U.S. election.

The fact that President Trump was about to win by pulling together a nationalist movement has shown that seventy years of brainwashing and demonizing nationalism has not worked on tens of millions of Americans.

I’m 63. My generation was called radical because we didn’t believe the war in Nam was worth it, we believed the government lies to us (which they do), we fought for racial equality, we ended the draft (well, the part where they actually put you into the military), and the list goes on and on. The irony was that Hillary being elected was the final part of the globalist plan to destroy the U.S.

During the 2016 election, the one thing that trouble me the most is the democrats did not care about the 1000 plus seats they lost in the the state and federal elections. They only cared about Hillary being elected president.

After the Nov 2016 election, the establishment, deep state, globalists, democrats, media, and other groups have throw off any pretense of respecting the election system, the people’s voice, and the lawfully elected President Trump. Instead, these groups are doing everything they can to illegally overthrown President Trump, along with censoring, and even sometimes physically harming the supporters of President Trump.

Realizing that Generation Z might be more in line with nationalism creates even more pressure on the situation because those opposing nationalism realize their old two person monty of rigged elections, where both candidates support the same anti-American stances, will no longer work.

One of the reasons this con will no longer work is that President Trump is keeping his campaign promises and raising the bar of quality for being a politicians.

Though, due to all this means that those opposing nationalism are now opening displaying increasing acts of unrest against the American people.

Well, I thought that about Millenials too. Only a small percentage of Millenials got red pilled though.

My generation grew up watching our fathers get Divorce Raped. We watched 9/11 happen and USA went full blown Orwellian. Yet, Millenials just happily take their Opioids and listen to Lady Gaga and Miley Syphilis.

Maybe Generation Z will be different, let’s hope so…
