Many couples are waiting longer and longer to schedule their weddings. In 2015, the median first-time American bride was almost 28 years old and the median groom almost 30, according to the most recent data available from the Census Bureau. (Ten years earlier, the typical bride was 25.5, the typical groom 27.)
Fear the wall, but only after several years riding the c~~~ carousel.
The U.S. marriage rate—the number of new marriages per 1,000 people—has been falling for decades. It fell especially fast during the recession, in 2008 and 2009, but there’s little evidence that people started getting married again even as the economy recovered.
It’s as though some sort of awakening were taking place. As though men were learning by example.

From a global perspective, that wouldn’t be a surprise. The U.S. marriage rate would need to fall by about a third to reach the marriage rates in other developed countries. The most recent data show a U.S. marriage rate of 6.9, compared with an average rate of 4.6 for countries in the European Union.
It’s clearly not an isolated incident when it’s happening worldwide.
The average wedding cost $26,720 in 2016, according to the Wedding Report, up just 0.3 percent from the previous year—but that average is skewed by a few particularly lavish weddings. The median cost of a wedding was $14,399.
Thanks for adding to my list of reasons to never get married. Oh and if people are having cheaper weddings, there goes the recession is responsible for the declining rate theory.
Another way weddings have changed since the recession: They’ve shrunk. Last year’s average wedding had 141 guests, according to an annual survey of couples by the Knot, the wedding website. That’s down from 149 guests in 2009.
Or, could it be that fewer and fewer people are willing to pony up expenses for travel, accommodations, formal attire, gifts & sometimes even refreshments for what amounts to an overpriced party in many instances. Considering that 93% of marriages fail within the first 10 years.
I realize this topic’s being beaten to a bloody pulp lately but I find it cathartic beating a dead horse, figuratively speaking of course, actual horses are awesome.
Well never mind cupcake, perhaps you can ‘marry’ yourself, or your cats.
How many of these ‘people are not marrying’ articles, will they write, until they start to call out the real problem – WIMMIN.
For gods sake, avoid marriage, like a Hillary Clinton Election Campaign Meeting – It contains just as many lies, except you get to wake up next to Hillary 2.0, for the next 20 years.

I am sure that the decline curve will drop off even more after 2016, the year MGTOW has begun to become a household word.
Marriage will now drop off exponentially!
When social shaming fails to do the job in driving men to the plantation, marriage is in free fall.
In July of 2018, this honey pot forum was sold out to an unidentified NPC sock puppet and troll organization. Most independent thinkers and writers migrated to other MGTOW forums as a result of the never-ending infighting and deliberate trouble starting caused by members who were given "carte blanche" by the admin to do whatever they want. Before my departure, I only left a few thousand cat pics here to comfort and ridicule the feminist owners who now run this place. Their background agenda is to make MGTOW look like a club of losers the public eye. And during the course of 2019, they actually managed to destroy almost all other MGTOW venues as well. Here is the truth about "theindependentman.org" aka "TIM" which was created as an extended workbench to further divide the community. Marriage rates have been dropping due to a culmination of reasons.
Here are just some that the article doesn’t address:
1) The bias and preferential treatment for women within the family court systems
2) The increase in hedonistic and promiscuous lifestyles
3) The advent of social media has increased opportunities for infidelity
4) 3rd wave feminism has morphed women into androgynous, faux men
5) The general decline in moral virtuesFuck bitches... literally and metaphorically

5) The general decline in moral virtuesWell that pretty much sums it up. The fourth item I think is a big one. Women want to grow beards, get tattoos and act raunchier than a locker room. Forget about marriage, I won’t even touch these wannabe Macho-Women. Absolutely, disgusting.
It already doesnt exist.
Marriage is about partnership, womens idea of that is too sleep around.

The men are getting smarter.
A MGTOW is a man who is not a woman's bitch!
