Friend got robbed at gunpoint on a date

There’s a guy I work with at my warehouse job who is smart and very likeable. He is some version of autistic but it is not immediately apparent… He also lives off food stamps and is in some kind of group home. His number one goal in life is to get married.

He tells us whenever he is going on a date. Last week he had a first date via Plenty of Fish. He drove to the girl’s apartment building and waited downstairs inside the stairwell for her to come down. Instead, two guys jumped out of nowhere and robbed him at gunpoint. The one in front of him held the gun and there was another guy behind my friend to block his exit, & might have had a gun as well. My friend wasn’t carrying much cash, but they took his phone which cost way too much. He didn’t want to talk much about it, but he said he was fine now. Apparently the girl came down a little later and he took her out somewhere, although I’m not sure how he paid for dinner. He believes he was set up by the girl but had no proof. He seems to be handling it in stride–filed a police report and is moving on with his week.

One of the reasons why I always carry brass knuckles with me when I am not carrying my CCW. When I was younger, I’ve had a gun pulled on me. I was once brave (dumb enough) to disarm the dude and the gun went off; just the bullet went into his armpit area when I turned the gun up and into him. Didn’t think he would be dumb enough to attempt to fire it. I was 19 and naive.

Besides, I do not carry cash on me. I do not know many people who do. Should my phone be stolen on me, I’d just disable and wipe it via Google’s website. The phone will be useless and would not be able to be activated again on any network.

As for the date, this is why I always recommend meeting in a public area on the first meet; if you are going to date. I’ve picked up women in bad areas, no one has ever bothered me. He must look like a mark. No disrespect, but they can smell it on the dude a mile away. He should take some self-defense courses or martial arts to beef up his confidence (and game).

Also, every American should go for their CCW permit.

He probably can’t prove it, but he was definitely SET UP.

The girl probably has a history of first dates that get robbed (while waiting in the stairwell). Always by the same two robbers, I’m sure.

1. How does he think he’s going to pay for a wife (and her crazy expenses) when he’s on food stamps?

2. Why did he decide to go on a date right after getting robbed? Personally, I would’ve cancelled the date and asked someone to call the police.

The police were called and a report was filed, then it sounds like they continued on with the evening.

I drop red pills with him but they are always met with a blue pill allergic reaction. However, he is growing street smart. I guess he has some sort of social rejection issues which he idealizes overcoming through finding a woman who loves him intimately. He asked me once to predict his future love life, and I said IF he ever finds true love he will find that it was in fact not the answer he was seeking.
