Just to reiterate the past couple of weeks we’ve been exploring works by famous composers who studied under our mystery composer. So far we know G.F. Handel and J.S. Bach were both pupils/influenced by the mystery composer. Tonight we have the THIRD student all be it famous only to students of the North German Organ School. Next week I will reveal not only the name of the mystery composer BUT also the MGTOW connection to all of this! YES there is a MGTOW connection. HA HA
Nicolaus Bruhns 1665 – 1697 German organist, violinist, and composer. He was one of the most prominent organists and composers of his generation. He also studied under the mystery composer from 1687/88. Very few of his works come down to us ( only 12 vocal and 5 organ pieces) Largely due to the fact Bruhns met an untimely death at 31 Thus here are 2 of the remaining 5 organ works–and they are pretty darn good.
Dieterich Buxtehude?
I don’t know if its true or not but my Grandmother claims I am a direct descendant of Handel and she made me listen to a lot of this music. I actually do love organ pieces so thanks for sharing.
HOLY S~~~ Zarathrustra GOT IT! And as a reward the best of Bruhns — BTW Dieterich Buxtehude considered Bruhns the BEST of the three.
Zarathustra YOU THE MAN! IF I could +100 brother!

Zarathustra YOU THE MAN! IF I could +100 brother!
Hit him with a +1 on each post for you brother. How he knew that I will never know. Stop being smarter than me!! LOL
Well I actually have an old box set of Baroque records from the 1970’s that has a biographical booklet on each composer. Dieterich Buxtehude wasn’t one of the composers featured but I was able to figure it out reading the biographies of Handel and Bach. Bruhns also wasn’t included. I will check him out. 🙂
Totally turning out the lights tonight, drinking some wine and annoying the neighbours with whatever the Friday night offering is tonight and FULL VOLUME!
