HAH! I didn’t put a description this time—gotcha ya! The past few weeks I’ve been doing stuff in honor of other members and their countries WELL NOT TONIGHT!

Tonight I indulge in a couple of personal favorites of mine. First off to get everyone in the mood is our old Friend Bach and his Praeludium et Fuga in C moll BWV 549 played on a really nice organ in Milan Italy. (Yes I know sacrilege! not a North German instrument BUT the Italian Guy playing this REALLY NAILED IT — Lorenzo Ghielmi)

Next is a work to sooth those shattered nerves and give you something to listen to while repairing the falling plaster and cracked windows resulting from the Bach work.

Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck 1562 – 1621 was a Dutch composer, organist, and pedagogue whose work straddled the end of the Renaissance and beginning of the Baroque eras. He was among the first major keyboard composers of Europe, and his work as a teacher helped establish the north German organ tradition. Below is his Chromatic Fantasia. (works in a a Chromatic scale were popular in the mid-16th century but by Bach’s time it was considered archaic) The piece reaches a great climax at the end, if you listen to the whole thing… the video was taken on a walk from Makara beach (Wellington New Zealand) to the WWII gun emplacements on a windy day…

Yes I know after the end of this work you have more plaster falling and shattered glass—to bad.

Hmmm. I wonder what they would think of my studies/experiments with the pentatonic scale. It is popular in modern rock and I am sure they would HATE it. LOL

    Have a good weekend PP!

    Listening now. Thank you Pete.

Update: I liked them both. Thanks again Pete.

The JS Bach piece was mental!

I’m on the Sweelinck now and sounds more mellow.

By the way, Skype me as I don’t know which Pete to chose in the search bar. Also tried Jacque but no results?

I would buy you a tuning lever or chromatic tuner if the above would pull PP into Rock and Roll. I actually have several “Rocky Rolly – as he calls it” cassette tapes that he let me borrow decades ago. I know, you are thinking BS, the only Rocks are in his head or Rolling off the chicken wire.

He is now chuckling as he smokes a cigar, organ tunes cranked up on the stereo, while he reads MGTOW forum posts.

Lol. Thanks, but I don’t think that will convince Pete!

My vision of him as well! Might be stroking a revolver too.

You know him better than you might think. Being a gunsmith allows him lots and lots of opportunity to clean and service long and short guns. He is actually very, very good at it, but let him know. His head is already the size of an Alabama watermelon!

Ha!! Seriously though he is a good guy. Helped me out recently.

Wish I could join you all tomorrow at 11, but work never sleeps.

Even though I’m binging on Chris Cornell tunes tonight, I’ll always take a break and listen to Pistol Pete’s organ offerings.

    Keep them coming, PP!

It’s very hard to pass up watching Ron Pearlman when he gets to hack, slash and throw out great one lines. Thanks PP. I will buy the drinks tonight
