Last week on the Zoom session Nerevar expressed a desire for some Harpsichord music instead of the organ stuff. So per his request here is some STUFF! And a little history—Courtesy of Wikipedia A harpsichord is a musical instrument played by means of a keyboard, a row of levers which the player presses. When the player presses one or more keys, this triggers a mechanism, which plucks one or more strings with a small quill. “Harpsichord” designates the whole family of similar plucked keyboard instruments, including the smaller virginals, muselar, and spinet. The harpsichord was widely used in Renaissance and Baroque music. During the late 18th century, it gradually disappeared from the musical scene, with the rise of the piano. In the 20th century, it made a resurgence, being used in historically informed performance of older music, in new compositions, and in some styles of popular music.

We begin with our old friend J.S. Bach and his Chromatic Fantasy, played by MY MAN Karl Richter.

Next up is Francois Couperin (1668-1733) these five short pieces are from his “Les Fastes de la grande et ancienne Menestrandise: who the f~~~ knows what that means.

Not be left out is Francois’s uncle Louis Couperin (1626-1661) and his Suite en Ré mineur pour clavecin

Last but not least are our Friends from England and John Bull (1562- 1628) “The King’s hunt”

OK how about one last little bit? Jacques Champion de Chambonnieres (1601-1672) And his little sarabande

OK Nerevar I hope you like this!

And in case that wasn’t enough here is some Spanish stuff, and don’t ask me who I don’t know.

WOW, amazing musician, (Richter, as well as Bach!) I haven’t time to reply Pete, but i’m a Classical Guitar Nut, so i’ll post up some Bach Lute suites, if you’d care to listen sometime.

Can we do accordion music next week? If it’s good enough for Lawrence Welk, it it’s got to be good enough for MGTOW!
