Now they are calling for filters on the service provider side. That would make your cable company in charge of telling you what you can or cannot see. A big faceless corporation not concerned with issues of free speech.

The internet will become cable news with only certain points of view allowed. They want pressure at the PC side, internet service providers and web sites themselves as well as moniterization and distribution of content.

In other words, this is how they will try to shut us down.

This is very serious. We are at the closing down of a period in history of great freedom of speech. How badly it closes down is up to us to decide.

The fact that the internet is a fairly new medium of communication does not mean it cannot be censored in future. All it takes is people to report people they know to authorities. That is how censorious cultures work. The censors rarely have to actually go looking much, business is brought (usually by sour women) and when the punishments get bad most people submit fairly readily.

We must remember that it is in the interest of the liberal elite to suppress freedom of speech in the name of decency and to protect the people. We must stand up to these lies.

Three letters, VPN.

I do not use a VPN to hide what I do but to deal with internet throttling at the national ISP level. I try youtube at the local level, even a local VPN server, I get throttled to comparative of a low level DSL line, which leaves only the option of low resolution streaming. I switch to a VPN server out of Latin and South America, I get full streaming speed at high resolution.

I pay for unlimited data usage at high speed date rates and I want to use those options.

Good news is lawsuits on social media censorship are making their way through the courts, but this will take time.
