Found myself laid off after the cruise (intro) after 13 years was a bit nervous about it.
The ex wife was only concerned about flow of cash and bills, and I realized hey this
could be a another great starting point for a MGTOW. And it has I am approaching the
job thing slowly and all locations are open to me for the first time, with no BS from
    her about the relatives etc.

Hell yeah! Take it one day at a time. Find a job you will look forward to doing everyday, even if it barely pays the bills. The satisfaction of doing something I love is WAY more than the loss of potential income for me. Glad to see your appreciating life!

I finally found my dream job 3 years ago. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. The money is all mine and no nagging or bitching about how it’s not a ‘real’ job.

You’re free. Do whatever you want.

    Fuck this planet.

@riolobo. Gratz on your new found liberation. Been there, and pulled out of the most devastating situation when a company closed. I am now a firm believer in PATIENCE and PERSERVERENCE. Knowing that you can’t fall off the floor. When things are precarious, or even brutal, those two ingredients + the sheer WILL will ensure better is coming.

I know it sounds like some bulls~~~ a woman would quote from “the Secret”, but Im not talking about just blindly thinking the Universe “owes” you s~~~ – just because you want it. That’s what women subscribe to. But when a man’s hands are tied, there are virtually NO LIMITS to what he will do to get free and back on track. He will chew his own arm off to ensure things will get brighter again. And they WILL. My own examples are not proof of anything, but I marvel at how many times I thought the future looked shakey, and then the planets seemed to align just right.

    Enjoy your freedom, man.

Thanks Keymaster it makes a lot of sense with me, I use to trap as a boy and I found 2 or 3 legs in a
trap because the critter wanted freedom I can relate as we all can I’m sure.
Was offered a job but I am not sure if I want it or it is just guilt for not working as I have for
30 years for her and it is now programmed in me.

Yep, when I finished grad school I put two signs on my wall: PATIENCE and PERSISTENCE.
Neither is adequate without the other.

Congrats to the OP, freedom is the best thing there is.
Grisly story about those poor critters though!

I am not exactly free at present. I hope I will be soon. I am an Indian going through divorce. I understand what the OP means. I thoroughly do. I congratulate him.

The only mistake I committed was denying her the opportunity of shoving the crap she had been accumulating in her brain into mine. I said NO. I am glad I did. Today, I do whatever I want to:
    – I write code, learn Mathematics and blog when I feel like.
    – I enjoy Scotch Whiskey most married men would only dream of.
    – I bought a 50 inch Sony LED to watch the world cup finals

Wish me good luck my friends!

Good Luck @msiyer! But it looks like luck has little to do with it. You made it happen all on your own. Continued success!

Did it took the jump and did not accept the job. That small voice in my head that spoke up on the cruise ship
spoke up again and I told them thanks but no thanks.
I will find the right place for me.
