When I first met my cupcake, she had no real friends, maybe one, two at the most. Not like today, 987 Facefu.ck friends.

Their only way to contact or bitch was to make a phone call from a landline in your home.

It just wasn’t much of a thing back in the 1980’s.

There was no internet.

There were no smartphones (hand held super computer cheating devices)

SHE idolised me.

She told me she loved me several times a day.

She’d do all sorts for me, even make my sandwiches for work and cry if I told her I had a near miss on my motorcycle.

She’d be a pleasure to be around and I used to look forward to seeing her all day in work.

I could go on and on…but you get the idea…it’s all true!

It’s how it was for me and many of you too.

It was like this after ONE year and STILL like this by year THREE.

BY five years it was still nice, albeit just ok.

By ten years it was NOT like this.

Then the INTERNET came.

THE ONLINE HIVE became a thing.

Girlie nights out became an even bigger thing.

More often and LATER ‘home’

By 25 years she called the cops.

The Cops came.

The Cops,

Her lies,

the ‘justice’ system,

the ONE PHONE CALL,

All conspired to DESTROY MY LIFE..

This MACHINE, took my home of 20 years from me, it took ALL my hard earned savings, it put me in DEEP debt, and finally even took my PENSION.

In another thread the OP tells me how happy he is after just ONE year AND he’s found his NAWALT.

After 4 divorces behind him.

You were Lucky. After the ceremony my wife changed, the very night of the ceremony. I only had the good times when she was my girlfriend. Then I had 4-5 years OK, and 20 in purgatory.

I have said once, nobody in all my life, from strangers to my enemies (the few I had) has ever insulted me, put me down, had so much disrespect, as my own wife.

I too had the GOOD/GREAT YEARS….but, that CHANGED OVER TIME.

NOW, I KNOW that a GOOD/GREAT “Relationship” only has one way to go.

Those Times/Years are the HIGHS, and they are temporary.

And they will. I bought a new house while living with my ex-GF. One of the features I loved was a 1000 square foot loft. This was to be my cave. Huge sectional couch with 80 inch TV, a bar with table and chairs, and a retro gaming area.

My girlfriend HATED that I had my own space even though I bought the house entirely with my own money and made 100% of the payments.
