A man would never ask his friend to do that, he would either assume she’s going to be faithful…on faith. I can’t agree with that. I do appreciate compliments of that nature. Although that could very well be because I don’t hear it that often, and can easily see where it would quickly become meaningless if overused, or came off as a means to an end. And saying “you’re so tall” is not a compliment, it’s just a stat.

And that does not mean that I don’t appreciate compliments on my abilities either. I certainly do.

Again, it primarily comes down to whether I deem the compliment as genuine or not. I don’t really care for polite compliments or buttering me up to extract resources.

Ok. Then do it.

It really does Old Bill. When you do give a f~~~ it’s a reasonable and conscience decision, not some knee jerk reaction to programming.
