Words are easy and flimsy and I am young so I will not say that it will get better because I honestly do not know the kids personally. But what I can say is that you are still alive. I wil not say that they will in the future understand that she was lying to them. They may or they may not. Only time will tell.

Just understand something you are not at fault here. Many people in these situations start to think that it’s somehow their fault. So go out and eat a steak and drink a beer.

You can if you want, write a letter by hand to them. Tell how it is and be neutral in the letter. Do not show anger in what you write. Be calm and forthcoming and lay all the cards on the table.
