Feminist Star Wars costs Disney dear

By now you will have heard of the heavily feminist nature of the new Star Wars move, “The Last Jedi”.

The majority of the male characters are stupid or evil while the female characters are all virtuous, wise, strong and brave. The female lead character is a Jedi who has total mastery of The Force while she is barely out of her teens and without any training at all, where all the powerful male characters of previous Star Wars films took decades to develop their abilities.

The film has gained stellar reviews from the critics, but the fan’s verdict online has been savage, and many of them are lambasting the ridiculous “Mary Sue” female lead character and the storyline’s grating feminism. Hundreds of fan reviews can be seen here:

Outside the mainstream media, word has got around and it is seriously hurting the box office takings, although the film is still in profit. Using figures from http://www.boxofficemojo.com, I compared the takings from the last Star Wars film “The Force Awakens” with the takings to date from “The Last Jedi”;

Box office takings follow a predictable pattern, with receipts usually declining between 30% and 50% each week following the movie’s release. In the US, “The Force Awakens” took a total of $936,662,225 during its theatre run in 2015, with receipts declining by an average of 32% each week. Adjusting for inflation (at 2.1% for the last 2 years), this total is $976,415,106.

To date “The Last Jedi” has taken $606,541,821, declining on average by almost exactly 50% each week. If this trend continues, and assuming the same length of theatre run, “The Last Jedi” will take only $615,383,010.

This is $361,032,095 less than the inflation adjusted figure for “The Force Awakens”, and that is for the US alone. US receipts have so far been around 47% of the worldwide total for both movies, so we can expect the worldwide total for “The Last Jedi” to be at least $700,000,000 lower than that of “The Force Awakens”.

The feminism of “The Last Jedi” seems set to cost Disney an awful lot in lost receipts. I wonder if they will welcome quite such an overtly feminist script for the next (and final) Star Wars movie?

I have to agree, I’ve become hypersensitive to all the contradictions spread by feminists in the media, government, business, and everything else they’re turning into a steaming pile of s~~~!

It makes me feel warm and fuzzy on the inside knowing that enough people were disappointed by Force Awakens and could see the direction Disney was taking it to refuse to even bother seeing Last Jedi.

Except for the actors, The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi were made by two different production crews.

JJ Abrams and his crew made The Force Awakens. JJ Abrams had nothing to do with making The Last Jedi.

Rian Johnson wrote and directed The Last Jedi. The issues with the film were two fold. One was the Rian John wrote The Last Jedi while Force Awakens was being made and he ignored the Force Awakens plot points so he did not have to rewrite his script.

The other issue was Kathleen Kennedy, whom is the President of Lucasfilm, whom turned a wreck of a movie that was the Last Jedi and made it worse by making sure all the male characters were trashed and the female characters were played up to the point of idiocy. But, to make matters worse, Kathleen Kennedy shows what happens with a narcissist is in charged that the project becomes all about the narcissist.

Rey was not the true “Mary Sue” in The Last Jedi.

The real “Mary Sue” was Holdo whom was clearly the “author avatar” of Kathleen Kennedy. Through Holdo, Kathleen Kennedy made the movie about herself. She made sure none characters would show up Holdo. The male characters were trashed and the female characters were underdeveloped.

Holdo became the main plot device as a “Black Hold Sue”, the worst type of “Mary Sue”. Holdo could no wrong. When she started a mutiny it was not her fault. When she got most of the resistance fighters killed it was not her fault. The plot even have her sacrifice herself to destroy the First Order fleet, in doing so breaking the established laws of reality within the Star Wars franchise. And as final insult, she had another character, Leia wake up and chew out the few resistance fighters whom survived Holdo’s screw ups for daring to question Holdo.

Kennedy and Johnson have insulted and driven away the domestic core audience and the asian audiences from the Star Wars franchise.

The only good news is the high ups at Disney have stepped in and put JJ Abrams back in charge of making Episode Nine, but The Last Jedi did such a clusterf~~~ to the franchise, the only real way to fix this is to declare The Last Jedi non-canon and start over where The Force Awakens left off.

OK I caved and saw a late showing of the film over the Holidays. Was one of maybe 50 people in the BIG theatre. When “Return of the Jedi” came out in 1983, there was a line around the city block. I waited 3 hours. Yes really. I got in line before a showing, and waiting for the people in front of me to see the movie completely first before I could go in.

The wait was like Chinese water torture after 6 years.

For “Last Jedi”, I waltzed in at the last minute and grabbed whatever seat I wanted dead center. It was unbelievable.

I didn’t like it. But I did like Luke in the last 20 minutes.. when he dusted himself off after they tried to blow him away. They really tried HARD to put “women in leadership roles” and right after the opening shot, a Lena-Dunham lookalike blurted out an order.

Then when Laura Dern showed up ( she was totally unnecessary in Jurassic Park too ) with her purple feminist dye job, I covered my face with both hands. They tried to paint her a hero too when she committed suicide to “save the fleet”, but women don’t do that. They run and expect a man to do it.

It wouldn’t really matter if Disney didn’t try SO F~~~ING HARD.
But it was just peppered throughout and I couldn’t look past it.

That would be the “Solo” movie, with the man playing Solo needing an acting coach during the production of the film because he was picked out at a party instead of him being one of the literally thousands of men whom auditioned for the part.

The only legitimate reason to forgo the audition process is if the production has an A list actor for the role whom can flawlessly do the job, and not a nobody without any real acting experience.

Considering Disney used Thrawn in SW Rebels series (a intelligent move on their part), I am surprised that the feminists in Lucasfilm have not tried to include the Hapes Consortium into their new timeline.

For those that do not know in Star Wars the Hapes Consortium is a ultra wealthy snobbish race of near-humans, only with worse nighttime vision, with a social structure where women rule and men do the hard labor, with the government being a royal family ruled over a Queen Mothers. The Hapes Consortium also has a space navy strong enough to keep the Empire from attacking them.

Now, the other group of dominating women in the Star Wars franchise are the Witches of Dathomir, whom are basically amazons with force powers. Before the buyout by Disney, the witches were already used to great effect in the Clone Wars series. That was a good storyline. Besides, the feminists currently in charge likely dislike the Witches of Dathomir because the witches at sexy, dominating women whom prefer to personally get the job done. Also, the Witches of Dathomir included a number of sexy alien women.

And it is clear that feminists in charge of Lucasfilm hate sexy female aliens.

Meanwhile, the women of the Hapes Consortium order others to do their dirty work. The Hapans look like humans.

I would not be surprised if the feminists at Lucasfilm do not consider the Hapes Consortium to be close to what they consider to be their feminist utopia.
