Feminist attack on beer set to backfire spectacuarly

The UK’s Chief Medical Officer Sally Davies has issued new advice on how much people in the UK should limit their drinking to. For the first time, the number of alcohol units is to be the same for men and women.

The recommend safe limit is now set at 14 units per week for both sexes.

Sally Davies is an ideological feminist who used her position – and taxpayers money – late last year to focus on improving the health of women, despite the fact that the UK’s National Health Services already spends far more on women’s health than on men’s, and has screening programs for cervical and breast cancer but none for testicular cancer or prostate cancer. The problem with this ideological nonsense is that if both sexes start drinking the same amount, it will be women whose health is damaged the more. Many academic sources state that women’s bodies simply cannot handle alcohol as well as men’s. For example:

Davies’ recommendation that the same limits should be set for men and women is clearly due to an ideological bias.

But what will happen if people – and chiefly men – heed that advice?

If men and women start consuming alcohol at the same rates, it is inevitable – given the differences shown in the studies above – that the negative effects on women’s health will be greater. Davies’ attempt to bring equality to another area where it does not belong – to abuse her platform with an assertion barely more sophisticated than “We can drink just as much as you” – will be a massive own goal, with women’s rates of liver disease, bowel cancer etc soaring relative to men’s.

The craziest one could match me drink for drink. Most of them cannot function after 2 or 3 beers.

If Davies set the alcohol levels to the women’s level of resistance, men will drink less than their limit can handle and will be healthier for men than for women (since for most men, their alcohol level is greater than females).

Is there any scientific basis for the “safe” ammount of alcohol to drink? Not a f~~~ing scratch. The original number was arrived at when the government asked 3 doctors the question back in the 1950s and they came up with an arbitary figure based on a fraction of they drank.

To say that men and women can handle the same alcohol load is like saying men and women can run as fast as each other or lift the same weight. Completely dilusional.

I used to take these government alcohol limits half seriously and felt a little guilty when I binged and drank a third of a bottle of scotch….

Now I realise it’s bulls~~~ and I can just ignore it.

Look at long term though, the new number means that women’s health will suffer more. This will allow feminists to justify asking for and using more money and research for women’s health issues.

Looks like they just cut men’s ration down to that of women. I bet this is because they want the yes-means-yes to have more merit by way of making men less intoxicated. If women are the only ones who are intoxicated, then men always have to be responsible. I think what someone forgot to tell her, people don’t follow silly government guidelines. Then again I could easily see them making it illegal to drink over the guidelines. But then I am just talking crazy, cause no one would write such a blatantly sexist law, right? …… Right…?

A woman weighing 100 lbs. will have TWICE the alcohol level of a man or a woman weighing 200 lbs.
A 500 ml. beaker of water with one ounce of alcohol has the same alcohol ratio as a 1000 ml. beaker with two ounces of alcohol. A’DAHHH!

the weight is a factor, but the amount of blood is what matters most.

Relation Blood to Bodyweight:
Woman: 60- 70 ml/kg, Man: 70 – 80 ml/kg

blood= means of transportation

So even with the same weight as the man, the woman will have less blood and therefore will get drunk faster.

The amount of blood is not the only factor of course, otherwise i would be same drunk from the same amount of alcohol always, which isnt the case.

@truther, I didn’t wanna get into specifics, but you’re right, fat doesn’t get drunk, therefore the landwhale equation wasn’t factored in, besides it would only confuse the feminists that much more. It’s like teaching a 5yo, keep it simple for you know who >>>stupid<<<.
