Women in the middle east are treated like second class citizens.

    But they aren’t.
Women in the Middle East are treated like a protected, privileged class. But being privileged and protected comes at a price. It occasionally means they occasionally have fewer freedoms than muslim men, but usually only for their own protection as those freedoms muslim men have generally devolve into the freedom to go out and get killed or starve or the like.

We are actually seeing some of the same trends in the Middle East that we have in the West; young people not marrying in their 20’s. http://gulfnews.com/news/gulf/saudi-arabia/6-reasons-why-two-million-saudis-are-not-married-1.1501745 and http://www.arabianbusiness.com/bahrain-vows-maintain-alcohol-ban-in-three-star-hotels-557940.html — indeed, in Saudi Arabia they’ve passed laws restricting marriage to foreigners so that men, well, Man Up! Haha. Men can’t/won’t pay dowries, and 33.4% of women above 30 aren’t married. Saudi Arabia is a bit of a ‘special’ case in that many women are highly educated and exposed to Western thinking. It is interesting to read this kind of story — the word ‘spinsterhood’ is used repeatedly, even that word would be a no-no in the Western press. In Saudi Arabia you have dowries AND expensive weddings, so it’s rather different than the West.

Single Saudis don’t necessary live some monastic life: They go over a causeway to Bahrain to get drunk, and f~~~ women. Only recently, was alcohol banned in Bahrain. But ONLY in 3-star hotels. You gotta love this s~~~! So rich people can still go over and drink and have sex with prostitutes, just not the lower classes. https://www.opendemocracy.net/arab-awakening/hasan-alhasan/in-bahrain-tourism-goes-dry

I posted this before in the other thread:

A little rhyme, ‘Gimme Allah your Welfare’

    I’m not a moron, because I read the Qur’an
Five Times a Day, I pray
The Five Pillars, they are real Thrillers
In this Area, we shall practice Sharia
This Free Falafel, it is awful!
    Feed me well, you Infidel!
Or you will Dwell in Hell

(I would make one equally offensive to Jews, Christians, and Atheists, but I cannot think of any presently)

I’d add that I have nothing against hardworking immigrants, but we’ve had several waves of ‘political refugees’, that collect benefits where I live. They have become the new Welfare Kings and Queens. It is NOT their nationality; indeed, previous waves of immigrants from the same countries, assimilated and WORK FOR A LIVING where I live…
