So to get more women in positions of leadership they will put men and womens lives at risk.

I know you were talking about directly related deaths, due to inability to perform. However, feminism kills men all the time, indirectly. Even if actual death doesn’t occur, men’s lives are destroyed on a daily basis in great numbers due to feminism.

And yes, there are places in the world where women are treated poorly. What exactly has feminism done for them? The only that can save them are the actions of men, and you’d have a hard time convincing me they were motivated by feminism, and not their own convictions and sense of honor and justice.

There was a similar story a few years back over the police force. Firefighters will only be as strong as the weakest link in the chain. Lowering the standards for anybody is a stupid idea.

The job needs to have objective reality-based standards.

Never lower the standards for political reasons.

If a woman can pass USN SEAL training, good for her, I know I can’t. But if you lower the standards USN SEAL won’t mean anything.

I also think it’s fair to consider costs and consequences that are not directly related to her ability to perform the job. When it comes to fire fighters, will the city have to provide separate accommodations for the 1 female firefighter? Will it inadvertently cause other firefighters to perform at a lower level because of her presence. Not her fault, but if other fighters are more concerned about protecting her then the people they are rescuing, is that a problem? How will it effect the groups moral? What about potential sexual relations?

Regarding military, there is inherent problems there as well. Enemies are likely to treat female POWS much worse then their male counterparts. Again, not her fault, but that’s reality.

I’m not saying I’m against women working in traditionally male roles, just that reality shouldn’t be ignored, and these exceptional women should be aware of the reality and take on a sense of gratitude more than entitlement, when they do get the opportunity.

Honestly… the physical requirements for a guy to become a firefighter are actually pretty easy. Pretty much any 18 year teen whos not overweight and not a mangina / pretty boy can pass the test.

THEN! You go look at the female requirements… basically 1/2 of the male requirements, and it’s just so LOW that ANY 18 year old guy can pass it in his sleep! (excluding justin bieber who cries when walking into a glass door)

Now… to fail the female test 7 times… is BEYOND being a danger to your firefighting team… it’s a GUARANTEE! That your going to drag them down and end up getting someone hurt or dead.

Heck, the lowering of the requirements for women in the first place is just a f~~~ing joke. The requirements were originally thought up based on average and worst case scenarios. They were NOT developed based on the physical abilities of men; they were developed based on how FAT the population is. At the absolute very least, you should be able to pull one of your team mates out of the fire; ~200lbs. female reqs in alberta were to be able to drag a ~150lbs body last i checked.

Now it will be the women. Did you get here on talent or because of that 100 million dollar lawsuit against the city?

You know that woman is going to go home crying every day. Everyone thinks it will be the men who will treat her the worst. No, it will be the female fire fighters who passed the same test as the men. They will ride her the worst. Now every woman who earned her place will be treated with scorn and derision.
