I didn’t know to put this in Games or General, but since Skyrim is a game, I decided to post this here.

In Markarth, you get a quest from a beggar to steal a golden statue of Dibella from that temple. When I do quests like those, I usually play a rogue/assassin kind of character, but since my last one was a heavy hitter with a two-handed axe and heavy armor, you can forget about sneaking.

I got past the initial priestess, as Dibella is revered by women only, so there are no priests, and stole the statue, I was discovered by one of them and had to repent by going on a mission to find and rescue the new Sybil of Dibella, some kind of young female avatar for the goddess. Upon completing the quest, you receive Dibella’s blessing, which adds something along the lines of “deal more damage to people of the opposite sex”, which is rather convenient if you play a female character yourself, as about 90% of the enemies you encounter are male.

    Typical.

edit: when I wasn’t as red-pilled/mgtow as today, the first time I saw that “blessing” I thought “meh, doesn’t do much for my character”, and ignored it, but now I see the subtle signs and am repulsed by it, even if it’s only a videogame.

Other than that, I play an Orc, a hunter of sorts. I don’t do any big quests or quests tied to the main quest, just roam around killing wildlife for their hides, mine ore veins to craft armor and take quests from innkeepers and the various Jarls’ assistants to keep me busy, and the coin flowing.

Not even surprised anymore, I have a feeling that the reputation of gaming will disintegrate into a “childish hobby” and the real gamers and devs will go underground as indie devs. If it weren’t for blind, slobbering consumerists mesmerized by pretty graphics, the mainstream gaming industry would have crashed by now.

If anything I think a feminist would be repulsed by this, why are there more male warriors in the game? how come there are not as many female bandits? why are more males playing out the male fantasy of being a hero or the dashing rouge…

Skyrim is a perfect example equality of opportunity, there are more men in the more dangerous roles than there are women, but there are still the odd lady folk among there number. Women naturally avoid such dangerous roles in life while men flock to it, its in our nature to be the hero…

If you wanted a truly feminist approved game it would be a 50/50 split, half the worlds armed heros and villans would be female… in short equality of outcome

So next time you take that blessing be pleased, because Skyrim is free from nut job feminists agenda and the natural roles of the genders can take place… unless you mod that s~~~ in 😉

I honestly don’t see this as a feminist thing but just a quirky extra stat they decided to come up with
