A female special needs teacher is accused of holding an autistic student upside down in a trashcan to “calm him down” at her hearing she defended her actions at a school system hearing this week, alleging she was trying to “shake out the grouchy.”

Now I am not trying to advocate violence but abusing special needs students should carry a sentence that removes them from life.

I believe that those kinds of actions should be met with removal from the position and depending on the actions some form of criminal punishment!

As we all know from history class the mentally ill or physically challenged were the ones to suffer the brunt of physical, mental, and emotional abuse. As a result that mindset has wormed its way into the subconscious.  Having several family member that teach I know that many, many, many schools in the American education system do not support the teachers in any way when it comes to handling students that are unruly, whether that be for controllable or uncontrollable reasons. This does not, in my book, remove personal responsibility from the educator for their actions. I believe the only way we are going to ever put a stop to the majority of these kinds of behaviors from educators is to return to supporting them instead of making them the enemy from the beginning as so many parents and administrators do.

Well I just noticed I did not provide an article link.

And sadly I also just came across this one as well.

Apparently another special needs kid was being somewhat annoying to other classmates and the teacher by talking during the movie and they duct-taped his mouth shut.

    Da faq?

I’d fire that teacher. One thing really bad for autistic children is that they don’t complain or express pain from abuse. It’s pretty scary.

Between compulsory government “education”, the infestation of the education profession with office c~~~s of one stripe or another, and the unionisation of the latter, there is nothing good that can come out of this arrangement.  “Education” is a major cult of this country’s civic religion; whenever its august name is uttered, one is expected to open one’s wallet and let the cultist take what she may.  Never mind what is done with the money; even asking means one is against it!

If one looks at the architecture of these “schools”, one sees them for what they are – prisons.

At least in those twelve unfortunate years, I learned enough about people to know that I do not wish to deal with them except in limited circumstances.

If I had children, I would make sure they got home schooling, ideally from me. BTW, I am simpatico: The high-functioning kind of autism runs in my family. Two distant cousins I can think of were institutionalized for the not-at-all-high-functioning kind.

What’s wrong with these teachers? Do they need a dick or something?

She should get a short prison sentence, but

One long enough for inmates who were on the receiving end of physical abuse as children to explain what it’s like to her.

In the meantime she shouldn’t be allowed to increase any medical insurance she has nor be allowed to purchase any anew.
