So I was watching “How I Met Your Mother” the other day; for those of you who are unfamiliar, it’s a show about a 30 yr old married man (Ted) who sits down his kids and tells him about his wild 20s and how he eventually met their mother through a series of flashbacks.

It’s pretty entertaining- Ted has a “gang” of friends: Barney (a womanizer/playboy/anti-commitment guy/loves going to strip clubs…probably MGTOW lol, played by Neil Patrick Harris), Robin (female reporter), and Marshall and Lily (married to each other). They all live in NYC and have some good times.

Ever since I joined MGTOW, I’ve started noticing new and different things in the show, however. Lily is extremely manipulative; she’s small and cute and cuddly, so I always just thought of her as a good friend and focused on the other characters, but….for example, she has engineered the breakups of Ted and numerous other girlfriends. Or in fights with Marshall, she threatens to deny him sex unless he agrees with her point of view. Once, when Ted was hesitant to get married to a girl named Stella (he wasn’t sure if she was right or not), Lily pushed him to the wedding, and Stella ended up leaving Ted at the altar for her ex (proving that Ted’s intuitions were right). Or the time where Lily runs up thousands of dollars of credit card debt (she can’t afford the shoes/purses b/c she’s a school teacher, but hey, Marshall is a lawyer! He can!) and then she tries to get the mortgage on the house on Marshall’s name since she doesn’t want her bad credit to be known. Or when she pushes Marshall away from his dream job of environmental law and into corporate law b/c it pays more and will fund more of her purchases.

Now, to us viewers, this all is drama and seems enjoyable, but this got me thinking- this kind of stuff is being viewed by American men/women/boys/girls…could it be that these themes in the show are reinforcing ideas of blue pill behavior?

If you have any other shows/magazines/etc that have examples of such manipulation, feel free to share!

The challenge is to find a show that is not this way. News, drama, comedy, non-fiction documentaries, even sports, are all promulgating the Party Line: Girls are better than boys at everything, father is an idiot, any teen can badmouth any adult and it is a laugh line, and so on.

I have some favorites that are not too obnoxious. I got hooked on Person of Interest in its first season, when the only women were the guest stars. I like Mr. Robot and (guilty pleasure) Humans. The closest to a man going his own way is Ray Donovan. Ray D. rocks!

The only TV and movies that come close to qualifying as ideologically pure MGTOW — if there even is such a thing — were all made before the early 1970s. The excellent movie Lifeguard was among the last of that breed. Actually, I should not say “the only” because there are exceptions that make the rule, and they do get more rare as time goes on.

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?

Watching tv sent me full rage sometimes. So much so my poor daughter thought I was going insane ?

Nop … I just can’t face it anymore.

I wouldnt say Barney is a MGTOW in that show since his character portrays someone who’s in constant need of validation from women

Anyhow, Ive watched from Season 1 to 9 it’s full of blue pills and NAWALT ideologies spread across that show unless your MGTOW to which of course you would be more perceptive but not all of us are “enlightened” and it does influence Men/Women/Boy/Girls way of thinking

Unfortunately, its just not limited to TV shows – look at commercials (Tide, Pampers etc..) 99% of the time its the dad that is the doofus

    To further prove my point:

You dont even need to read between the lines, the guy is the doofus and hes being played by a little girl (Men are being blatantly bashed and most of us are just taking it…)

I dont see anyone complaining regarding that commercial but what if it was in reverse? Im sure theres a bunch of feminazis raiding in front Lays right now

I haven’t watched television in 4 years. I do not own a television.  I will never own a television.  There’s nothing much worth watching on television. The Internet is my source of entertainment and information.

About a decade ago, I liked “That 70s show”, but after deprogramming myself, I see it as gynocentrism writ large.

“alone” the history channel’s survival show.  I have watched and I believe for a half million I could give em a good run for that kind of money.

I was bound to be misunderstood, and I laugh at those who misunderstand me. Kind mockery at the well intentioned, but unfettered cruelty towards those would be prison guards of my creative possibilities. This so as to learn as much from misunderstanding as from understanding. Taking pleasure in worthy opponents and making language fluid and flowing like a river yet pointed and precise as a dagger. Contradicts the socialistic purpose of language and makes for a wonderful linguistic dance, A verbal martial art with constant parries that hone the weapon that is the two edged sword of my mouth.

Jeez, do you have an hour? Broadcast television is SATURATED with it. You need a squeegee just to get that gynocentric slime off the TV these days. TV is nothing but a great big vagina with rabbit ears.

    Classic Example:

Just 2 days ago, I met a friend for dinner. I was early and took a seat at the bar. The big TV was showing a show called “Player gets Played” and this is a snapshot from exactly the episode I am talking about. Notice the SMILES on their faces:

    —-

It just happened to be on. Of all the possible things I could have randomly seen on TV, the very first show was this female manipulation s~~~.

3 black women where brought together, and learned from each other they were all dating the same unmarried guy. UNMARRIED. When they found out about it, not one of them was devastated by the news. they were SMILING and decided they were gonna “get even” — as if an unmarried man can’t date whoever the f~~~ he wants – whenever he wants.

The audio wasn’t on , but I read the closed captioning so I knew exactly what was going on. They plotted together – and enjoyed it – laughing and making a plan to get exactly the same outfit (and even the same hairdo) and then all 3 would show up at the same time. They recorded his conversation. They staged their affections. They planned everything – right down to the time one of them would text him while he was speaking with another. The whole thing was totally calculated. And then of course, they made a big theatrical production out of the big reveal, including marking up his car “CHEATING SLUT! • I AM A CHEATER!! • I AM A PIG!!!” etc….

Not ONE OF THE THREE girls were genuinely upset by his “cheating”. They didn’t cry or get angry. They were smiling like “oh boy, we are gonna get him and get him good”. They actually got extreme pleasure out of the whole prank. That’s the modern female for you. She is not crushed by the fact that you called another girl(s) your “girlfriend” for a whole year…… they only care about hating him publicly, trying to humiliate him, making him out to be an asshole, for something that didn’t really appear to bother them at all!

The show is called “player gets played” and of course, it all plays out against a MAN, because women don’t “cheat” at all.

One hour of female female manipulation , tricks, tactics, plans, extortion, staged events, plotting, scheming, vandalism, and even rubbing cake in his face and smearing food and beer all over him. It was’t about the cheating. It was about evil females smearing a man to sell ad space, generate views and ratings.

It was about how women have free encouraged license to behave like scheming, manipulative c~~~s. And it’s perfectly OK.
But an unmarried man can’t date whoever he wants??

    F~~~. OFF.

Why don’t they do exactly the same thing and smear cake and throw beer in the face of every c~~~ on the Maury Povich show who attempts to commit paternity fraud? That’s far more serious and those sluts are MARRIED.

Network TV and cable companies can go totally bankrupt for all I care.
Cancelled my cable 4+ years ago and they never got a dime from me since.

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.

Damn. Only one sentence into the thread and I can already tell the show is propaganda for Beta Bucks indoctrination.

And people still can’t figure out why network television is dying.

It’s not so much that network television is dying (thought it is definitely struggling) but that it has LOST the male demographic, especially in the sub 40 market. It lost them a decade or so ago. Among the reasons for that is men simply got tired of all the gynocentric bulls~~~. Being men, instead of whining and complaining and marching and protesting like bitches, they did something effective: they turned off their televisions and went their own way.

The television networks responded by going even more extremely gynocentric to market to their remaining female viewers. They are confused as to why that approach hasn’t managed to attract male viewers back. It is a mystery to them.

There’s a reason why the few remaining good unapologetically masculine shows absolutely CRUSH the ratings: because men actually watch them. They manage to tap into that HUGE demographic that’s effectively off limits for any other shows. I’m talking about shows like Top Gear. And then the BBC goes and completely screws the pooch in the name of Political Correctness. Idiots.

and even rubbing cake in his face and smearing food and beer all over him.

Why didn’t he walk away from that s~~~ and sue the network?

    The whole thing sounds staged.

ROFL!!!! Mr Keymaster. One fine day I am sure your thoughts and comments will be compiled into a school of philosophical wisdom. Amongst your priceless quotes I hope to see this one. “TV is nothing but a great big vagina with rabbit ears” 😀

Loving this discussion! Thank you for sharing commercials and show ideas! I checked a couple of them out..and yes, this is extremely sickening. My gosh, i’m seeing female manipulation everywhere now. It’s like I went to bed one day and the next day, the world has changed completely. Just…wow. Spending some time on MGTOW.com can really change a person’s perspective.

I’m watching this episode of HIMYM right now. Marshall, Lily’s husband, says the following line to his best friend Ted when Ted fails to pick up on his new girlfriend’s cues to move across the country:

“Men, it’s like if there weren’t pickle jars to open and spiders to kill and computers to back up what would be their point?”

And then, Lily high fives her husband for his obedience and proudly states “Look Ted, it gets exhausting constantly giving people advice they haven’t asked for, so I’m training Marshall”

Later in the episode, she tells Marshall to channel his “inner Goddess.”

Five minutes later, Ted, who previously was not ready to marry his girlfriend, proposes to her, and she accepts and tells him that, as a condition, he may not be friends with Robin any more. WTF.

I kid you not. If you don’t believe that they actually said this, it’s season 8 episode 5. I didn’t believe it the first time! I rewinded and listened to it in slow motion and it was shocking.

And there you have it, Marshall is officially Lily’s puppet to make her life easier and to help her interfere in everyone’s lives. This is disgusting. Worst part is my female classmates LIKE this show. They’re subtly taking in this behavior.

BTW, I don’t have cable or anything. Just Amazon Prime 😀 Gets me my shipments/books within 2 days and has tons of shows on my computer/TV/PS3 as a free add-on. Not all of them are gynocentric. Some pretty cool ones on cars/tech./world travel!

The way I see it, these gynocentric shows are actually pretty good for us MGTOW. Let me explain using a medical analogy. When you were born, and until the age of 15 or so, you were consistently exposed to dangerous viruses that could harm and kill you. But you were exposed to them to help you resist them. This is what vaccines are; you put a mild/deactivated form of a pathogen in the body and that helps the body fight off invasions.

Being a medical student, I can’t help but compare women to viruses :P. And these shows, my brothers, are our vaccines. Taking it in a small dose at a time and seeing examples of female manipulation can only help identify and stop it when it happens to us.

p.s.- some more quotes from the now indoctrinated Marshall that are pretty ridiculous:

“Look if you really want a baby just stop taking the pill”- Marshall to girls at a bar.

“Loves Showtunes, total shopaholic, not always pestering you for sex? Umm Clifford sounds like a keeper!”

What’s interesting is after each of these there is the “audience laugh” soundtrack that plays, which stimulates the actual viewers of the show to also laugh. Just…SO MUCH GYNOCENTRISM oh my gosshhhh

I stopped watching sitcoms when Married with Children jumped the shark. Unless of course you consider South Park in the same category. Laugh track comedy is nauseating.

The Children of Doom... Doom's Children. They told my lord the way to the Mountain of Power. They told him to throw down his sword and return to the Earth... Ha! Time enough for the Earth in the grave.
