Feds Investigate Hollywood: Lack of Female Directors

In May, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) lobbied the EEOC to investigate the “systemic failure” of the film industry to hire female directors. The civil rights organization circulated a petition among Hollywood professionals that laid out its primary concern: of the 1,300 top-grossing films spanning a 12-year period between 2002-2014, just 4.1% were directed by women.

Our goal is to show the civil rights enforcement agencies that a significant number of people who are women directors or work with women directors want this long-running civil rights problem to be fixed,” the petition read.

So a studio spends tens of millions of dollars to make a film and they have to hire a female director because she has a vagina?

They do a study to see how many female directors made “top grossing films”. If they made such great films people would CHOOSE to pay to go see them. This is so ass backwards.

And they call this a long running civil rights problem lol? Needs to be fixed? Wtf if females made great movies then people would pay to see them.

Several of the women who received the letter voiced their support of the federal investigation.

“I would like the EEOC to take legal action against the studios, the networks and the commercial production companies to make them comply with the law,” commercial director Lori Precious told Deadline. “I hope they force people to change the way they do business because Hollywood is not exempt from the law.”

So the “law” is private businesses cant choose whom they employ.

Nothing is allowed to develop organically in the world of SJW’s.

A grassroots effort by women to get degrees or to self-teach the skillsets necessary to be a film director would be the best thing. If the market is there then try and fill it through actual work.

But no, that’s not acceptable. Instead the current system has to be tweaked in a welfare state mentality to punish one group and elevate another.

Yeh guys I agree, this is NUTS and in short:

IF they so wanted to be movie directors, they would ….pick up a f~~~ing cheapo cartoonish ACME style or same s~~~ any camera and start filming. And continuing on to do what they like with passion and get good at it. WORKING ON IT THEMSELVES.

But seems like they don’t.

They want to get everything without trying, like children. “hey, today I want to be a director ! DADY, GIVE ME the title and cash please !”

I watch movies because they interest me, not because what gender is directing it! Even chick-flicks are predominantly directed by men! That tells everything about females in general, they have no or very little drive to push their boundaries.

I haven’t seen a movie at full price since 2012. During the last election cycle I saw how many actors and actresses were speaking their “well educated” political opinions. I decided then and there that nobody in that town was getting another penny of my money. The Hollywood establishment can hire whoever they want, I won’t be contributing to their coffers. With all of the reboots and other garbage they put out anyway, I don’t feel like I’m missing anything.

I failed to realize in my youth that I was the prize. I was going to work. I was going to earn. Little did I realize that due to feminism, that no longer meant I had to share. Road soon, Desert after.
