At least for now .. the hobbyist drones and model aircraft can, once again, fly free.

Anonymous7Good news for those who enjoy the hobby, and bad news for those that don’t want to have them invading their space.
I have flown a few, and been irritated by those who don’t care where they are flown.
Ever been climbing a route 300 feet off the deck only to have some jackass bring that thing two feet from your face while trying to belay your second from the anchor? The guy crashed it into the rock face not five seconds after buzzing me. Big four rotor one.
Ever had one dropped on you when you surface from a dive? This poor girl got a huge slice across her forehead and had to give up diving for the rest of the day to go get stitches.
They are very cool, but most of the goofb~~~~ that I have seen flying them should not be. Too many don’t care for what the other persons outdoor experiences are.

Not quite two feet, but still close enough to drop it with a draw. They make excellent improvised anti-drone bolas.
