This guy pretty much sums up my points about fanservice:

However, I do like Senran Kagura.

As a man, I love fanservice if done correctly. But, it depends on the genre of the show. For instance, if it’s something such as Naruto, Bleach, or One piece and they insert a lot of random fanservice in it for no apparent reason, like say, an ecchi would, I’d rather just watch the ecchi. If I’m watching an action anime, I want to see action most of the time. If they can incorporate fanservice in with action scenes, that would be awesome as well.

Anime such as High school of The Dead, for example, implement fanservice very effectively.

But, one of the reasons why I hate the anime community is that most of them are full of white knight manginas and feminists. They complain about fanservice when it’s directed towards men, but never have a problem when it’s directed towards women.

One very good example of this is a show called Free!

Here’s the anime for anyone who doesn’t know about it:

As you can tell, when fanservice is directed towards fangirls, the anime community has nothing to complain about. In fact, some manginas and white knights even watch this show to please the fangirls.

As a MGTOW, I feel that anime and gaming are the only two forms of media that feminists haven’t ruined yet. But, I know as time goes on, that same media will be full of feminist SJW s~~~.

Those that produce anime turned fanservice into an art-form. Where fanservice can be played straight, be a parody, or even a subversion.

That being said, I do love it when the fanservice trope is played with. Take for example, the Black Lagoon series. Most of the female characters, while very sexy, dress very conservatively. The one major exception is Revy whom wears a pair of short-shorts and a croptop shirt. And she looks good in her clothes.

That being said, here is how the fanservice is played with. While Revy is honest and loyal to her friends, she is foul mouthed, violent, she has a hair trigger temper, she likes getting drunk, and she is always armed with her semi-automatic pistols.

And while Revy looks nice, only a lunatic would want to touch her with a ten foot pole.

Though, like real life, sexiness will grab someone’s attention, but there has to be a personality behind the facade, or the situation will go boring real quick.

Okay, never heard of her before now, but I think I’m in love!

(Don’t worry. It’ll pass before I meet her real life counterparts.)

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?

If you haven’t see Black Lagoon anime series, you need to. I especially recommend watching it in the North American english cast dub. The english dub cast nailed the cast voices.

The main character Rock practically becomes a MGTOW in all but name. While he prefers to be non-violent, the man has some serious stones. (Though, it takes until episode seven for him to finally show what he is truly made of.)

Also, the Black Lagoon series could be used as a case study on how to write a dark, though very differing cast of characters. Including, some very different women, whom are independent, though whom are not presented as fanservice, but as well rounded, through flawed characters.

It should be noted that the man whom created the Black Lagoon series used to do a lot of porn. So, he knows fanservice. He knows how to play with the concept of fanservice. But, at it’s core Black Lagoon is not drive by fanservice.

The Black Lagoon series is very character driven, and not just by the main cast. And it has a lot of action. But, it is very, very dark. And the series does not pull its punches.

I’m about the same, if it’s some show I don’t care, but if I’m watching what’s supposed to be a serious drama, I could do without all the fan service. When it comes out of left field, it’s dumb. When the show’s tongue in cheek it’s okay.

As for feminist and manginas, they don’t buy most of the anime, and they can talk all they want, but they aren’t going to keep buying it, and if the PC s~~~ doesn’t sell, then they’ll stop making it. Think of how many herbivore men there are and how little they care about what women and SJW think.

Feminism is a movement where opinions are presented as facts and emotions are presented as evidence.

The only ones that come to me for my tastes are Hellsing Ultimate, Cowboy Bebop, and One Punch Man(this one was the last anime I watched)

Otherwise, I don’t watch that anime at all anymore. Not because I don’t want to, but because I lost interest in it when I turned about 20-21 years old.

(From Cowboy Bebop) Spike, “Hey, Jet, did you know that there are three things that I hate?… Kids, animals, and women with attitude.” (Probably one of the ultimate MGTOW statements in anime.)

    Haha, definitely.

Venom, if you like Cowboy Bebop, I highly suggest you check out the Black Lagoon series.

Those whom made the Black Lagoon anime are even fans of Cowboy Bebop. Bang!.

Give the series a chance to the end of episode seven (the nazi arc of episode 4-6 was the weakest episodes of the series, but worth a watch). You will likely enjoy the series. Especially, episode eight, onward, when the maid finally comes to town.

I’ve actually seen some of that series. I stopped near the episode where the twins with white hair were causing s~~~. I plan on picking it back up.

Good. The series is dark, but good. And the arc with the twins is one of the darkest, with the credits at the end of the arc being very sad, but bittersweet.

Though, my favorite is the third season, when the Bloodhound returns.

Hellsing Ultimate, Cowboy Bebop, and One Punch Man

Have watched hellsing ultimate, it’s good but i don’t see it being mgtow
Alucard’s boss is woman with a bratty attitude, and you have this ex-police “strong independent woman” running around with him all the time.
Black lagoon is the same s~~~ with the “strong independent” woman bulls~~~.
Read the whole one punch manga, it was fine until they introduced miss blizzard to the team, and that annoying 5 year old midget with green hair.
Haven’t tried Bebop but, chances are(while taking your other suggestions in mind) that it’s not what i’m looking for.

I’m waiting for and actual mgtow anime not this s~~~.

Well, that’s true. But, I can’t see Alucard taking any s~~~ from his boss if she got a stupid attitude. The only reason he’s working for her is probably because he made some sort of deal with her past family members. As far as the police girl goes, he gives her s~~~ all of the time.

I also don’t mind the “strong independent” woman thing in anime as long as it’s done well because in the subbed versions of most anime, there’s no SJW bulls~~~ in most anime.

Fanservice can work well, when it’s parody, comedy, in general, when it tries itself being serious, fanservice has a high risk of destroying the immersion of it’s serious world that it tries to build up. Then again fanservice can be made in numerous different ways, however the feminasties are in the realm of delusional double standard, where any sort of sensual or sexual is rape culture, yet obviously wants it in spades, when it’s dudes, then it’s totally okay, lol wtf.

That doesn’t mean it can’t exist in serious environments, they truly can, in special cases, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and numerous others, did it almost perfectly, in times of light-heartedness and to relieve suspense of the seriousness of what’s going down, and also able to do it, in extreme situations, where it’s believable, although also very f~~~ed up.

And there was a lot of hidden undertones in it, and there is in plenty other series, both classics and modern ones. Those who does it well, and within the realm of what it’s all about, it’s all good.

In the end, feminists don’t want this, because it’s just another way to show exaggerated female curves, attributes, and features, at their apex. Which women can never ever compete with, after all, many favourite anime girls, are combination of most, or all, those features, which will make men’s biological programming go wild, to protect and/or desire. Even when it’s a whacky nutjob.

What I always found very interesting, is how, an utterly insane crazy bitch, who simply looks super cute, and in a very sexual mature body, can get away with almost anything, and any excuse, because, she’s is simply cute and pretty, and simply by using every apex feature, so many dudes who watch it, gets completely f~~~ing confused, and probably even have their morale compasses getting utterly whacked around. Placing a blind eye to the obvious mega psychopath in front of them, and in a way, maybe that’s also why, anime are one of the few mediums in these days, that put female extreme nature on display, and gets away with it, sort of.

Some might recognize this super homicidal bats~~~ crazy girl.

In western media, she would be described as “empowered and independent”, and excuses for all her actions would be blamed on man, f~~~ing lol.

Black lagoon is the same s~~~ with the “strong independent” woman bulls~~~.

Just because a series has strong independent women does not discount it having some MGTOW qualities. As long as those women earned their due, along with there being strong men in the series.

The badass women are very fleshed out, with their pasts shown. The series makes not illusions about these women. These women are cold blooded killers, with the women not pretending to be anything else.

Except for two exceptions, this series shows how much physically weaker women are to men. Those exceptions are Balalaika and Roberta. Both of which are hardened veterans of various conflicts. And they show that hardness.

Though, given these women are so good with their weapons, such a guns and knives, physical weakness is not that large a factor in their fights.

And in the Black Lagoon series, the strong men don’t take s~~~ from the badass women.

Dutch doesn’t take s~~~ from Revy. Dutch has had to physically restrain her, and call her out on her behavior, in the series.

Chang does not take s~~~ from Balalaika. He is just polite about it.

As crazy as he is, Leigharch does not take s~~~ from Shenhua.

Also, none of these three men are interested in these women in a romantic way.

And Rock. Well, Rock starts out as a salary man, by the end of the second episode he starts to grow a spine. In someways he becomes a MGTOW. While he does not show much violence in the series, he slowly grows a spine.

By the end of episode seven, Rock doesn’t take s~~~ from Revy.

By episode twenty-three, Rock don’t take s~~~ from anyone. Having a gun to his head by a badass woman, with a badass army under her command, Rock does not beg for his life. Instead, he smirks, and explains what he is doing is not out of goodness, or justice. It is just his ‘hobby.’

By the end of the Black Lagoon anime, episode twenty-nine, those around Rock realize he is a serious badass, without even him firing a weapon.

Speaking of Rock. If you are a MGTOW, you need to see the english dub of the last half of episode seven of the Black Lagoon series. This is the scene where Rock finally chews out Revy for her behavior. And even when Revy takes a shot at him with one of her pistols, and late punches him, Rock does not let up with him verbally tearing her down.

That scene not only tears down Revy, but that scene is used to tear down the whole “tragic heroine/feminist/girl power genre”. And that scene does this so well in the english dub that the only word that could be used to describe that scene would be, “awesome”.

What I find hilarious about all this is every woman fits the Gasai Yuno character spot on. The only difference being, Yuno is hot and the landwhales can’t compete. As long as it’s done correctly, the fanservice anime is great. I also love how women bitch about fanservice in anime such as Naruto and One Piece when those shows are meant for teen guys.

Same, but mainly because I get tired of recycled stories and recycled characters.

The Children of Doom... Doom's Children. They told my lord the way to the Mountain of Power. They told him to throw down his sword and return to the Earth... Ha! Time enough for the Earth in the grave.
