I wake up screaming at 3am sometimes thinking there is a squad of SWAT kicking my door and putting me in a windowless van to drive me 800 miles back to that court house, in front of Judge F~~~wit and she sentences me to hell.

I hate that place with a passion that you brothers may barely comprehend.

Best part of that court house was breathing in diesel bus fumes from the bus stop out in front. For me, the smell of diesel exhaust is comforting, it is freedom. Idling bus at the bus stop…love that sound.

I understand exactly where you’re coming from and this problem still gets to me, even though it is over in my case. Fighting in those courts, dumping your money into them, dumping your money into parenting classes just so you can show the court that you want to see your kid, etc, just to hear a family court judge basically tell you that no matter how right you are, you’re wrong. As men, a lot of us (definitely not all of us, but a lot) want to match up to our own dads in some way. We want to be best friends with our kids, have fun with them, be there for them…I didn’t even get to see my son take his first steps.

I remember having one hour a week of visitation. On one of many Christmases, I did the usual by spending whatever money I had left for that month on his presents, only to go over for that hour to find them sitting in the basement! His mother was hiding the gifts, rewrapping them and then regifting them as her own! At the time, I didn’t care because at least he was getting them…but then you realize you’re being alienated! And then you tell the court what is going on and they basically tell you to take a flying f~~~ at a rolling doughnut. Family courts are corrupt, the people working them are corrupt, the lawyers draining families of their funds and resources are corrupt, and all the bastards should be lit on fire.
