In Ottawa Ontario, there was 511 cases of rape only 87 of these claims were found guilty so it can be up to 80% in general population.

Nah, I’d say 70 percent (people might just have an OJ-esque lawyer, or just be really good at not getting caught) but I see your point. Personally, I feel that if there is one instance of false rape accusations, laws need to be put in place to circumvent this. They did it with voter ID laws (4 cases out of 400 million constitutes a law change!!!) so why not something like rape, wherein we’re talking about false rape claims happening in the 70% range. Like, we know why they won’t do it, but you’d think they’d have the decency to at least come up with a good lie, right?

Shocking statistics. I worked in Vancouver in 2002 for a while and always said I would go back. What the hell happened in Canada?

It’s not much better here in the UK with false rape becoming more and more common. Especially amongst wealthy young soccer players and remorseful wanna be footballers wives.  Men know what the punishments for rape are, we’re not stupid or some wild dogs that can’t control ourselves. We couldn’t have built EVERYTHING if we were. It’s just bizarre to paint that false picture of man.

I had a false rape accusation in my late teens and she played me for weeks saying I will report you, I won’t report you etc etc. The thing was we just made out and I was a virgin at the time. I never even got to remove her knickers or delve inside. But yes “you raped me… tears tears drama drama attention”. I called her bluff after a few weeks of torture (I was young) and she backed down and begged me to stay with her. Just. Wow. She turned anorexic after that for a while. She’s a keeper.
