I wouldn’t necessarily say that we have become slaves. Remember, participating in the commercialism is a voluntary decision. Hard to be classified as a slave when you choose not to have a backbone and let your wife have all the say in how the family income needs to be spent. I think the single greatest thing men these days fail to realize is that a happy life is not attained by simply being a door mat for your wife because you think that somehow agreeing to everything she wants is going to make her happy and as a result lead to a happier life for you.

A lot of that balderdash has been perpetuated by the Church and the feminists over the last 30 years. Just think – if a marriage is supposed to be a partnership then why is husband told to constantly make sure that the wife is happy? What exactly is the role of the wife in making the husband happy? Are we to understand that her mere existence somehow creates happiness for men? Of course not, men are told to man up and shut up.

It is interesting that even women have bought into this in a way that goes beyond I think what the feminists envisioned. For example, last night my wife actually told me that I should be happy, because she gives me what I want occasionally, which is a bj. What she fails to realize, even after pointing it out to her, is that isn’t what I want… though I’m not unappreciative of getting one once in a while…

No longer can we walk away, we must run. Remove the motive power.
