Exhilarating Run

I was cruising in my charger earlier, just for fun of course. Perfect day for it, sunny, dry hot road, fairly empty highway.

So I’m pushing 90-100 (ya I was speeding I know) and I pass this guy, and with-out a word he started matching my speed. We definitely weren’t racing, it was just a good natured speed-run. I think we topped out at around 120.

So yeah he comes to his exit and as he pulls off, and flashes the peace sign, and I respond with the horn sign.

This might seem silly, but that unspoken communication via just DRIVING near each other was pretty cool. I can’t really describe it, but once it happened I knew that was one of the reasons I was cruising, for stuff like that.

I know that feeling well. When I used to own a cool rig — a tricked out, 1984 Landcruiser Wagon — I would get guys hanging around my truck in parking lots all the time wanting to talk about it.

One time, on the freeway in Colorado, a guy with a truck exactly like mine made a motion for me to pull over. So we talked about our rigs for over an hour on the side of the freeway. Those were good days. So yeah, I get it.
