Ever thought about the balance between smart and stupid?

One my co-worker and I talked about it a few days ago, it seems that the more stupid a guy is, the more children he has, so obviously intelligent people are outnumbered and their numbers are going down in years to come. He said something about our history which makes a lot of sense

1. phase 1 – stupid people can’t survive without a percentage of intelligent beings living among them, so eventually many dumb people die young and don’t have many children(like 2,000 years ago) and smart people reproduce and survive longer.
2. phase 2 – there are enough intelligent people around, which enabled idiots to reproduce more and more because the smarts provide resources required for them to increase their percentage.
3. phase 3 – the smarts bring fewer children, some decide it’s better off alone
4. phase 4 – going back to phase 1

My co-worker concluded that there is a weird circle in the existence of humanity,

And with the worldwide conflicts occurring, those decision makers are being killed at an exponential pace when compared to their replacement.

One can also figure in the factor of government entitlements that encourage women to become baby factories, more babies being born keeps current stupid/smart levels out of balance.

Flaw of intelligence is fewer offspring tend to always be a biproduct. Smart people need to have at least 2 children to replace themselves or the world will continue to develop problems faster than people can come up solutions.
