In 32 opinion polls published by 11 different pollsters over the past four weeks, all indicate a lead for the “no EU” camp and generally by an increasing amount, according to Reuters.

Good on ya, Italy! I’m all for my nation not, not, being dominated by a central bureaucracy staffed by unelected civil servants (“servants” ha!).

Italians going their own way. Sounds good to me. Borders baby.
The only good thing that came from Brussels were the sprouts.

The answer is NO. “I could but I won’t”. Memini murum!

I want my country (Netherlands) to leave the EU as well, to take back sovereignty and be part of the “old” EU that always worked: just for economic reasons and NOT by being dominated, like RoyDal said.

Only one way would I support a unified Europe—resurrect Charlemagne and re-establish the Holy Roman Empire. Other than that—-forget it!

Pretty sure after Brexit and the recent Trumpslide, anyone who listens to “what the media says the polls say” is a few sandwiches short of a picnic.

Spectacular news for Italy though. They should be their own country. Some of the best food, cars and even female fashion comes from there. So the female / gay vote is a no brainer there too.

But then I’m biased. Back in 2002, I picked out a spot on a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean in Portofino as my dream retirement spot. So +1 for Italy leaving the EU. I imagined my own little villa and a vineyard out back, and like, 10 sports cars and a boat docked down below.

    Hey. A guy can dream.

“IGTOW”. Italy Going Their Own Way.
It’s got a nice ring to it.

This. This is the crux of the “populist” unrest that the talking heads of all nations can’t quite grasp. And people on all continents have had it with globalization/centralization. But the powers that be have their heads so far up their over-educated asses that they’ll never see it before it’s too late.
