I agree fully. In one of the last relations~~~s I had before going my own way it struck home with me the severity of the situation. I had given this woman money, painted her house, fixed her dryer and for the time I was with her we were both very good to each other. When she got a little too comforable she accidentally slipped into wife mode and I being no fool immediately ended it. This same woman who I had just spoken so well of me at a dinner a week before actually acused me of ABUSE. The most I ever did was get upset about something stupid she would say. Just visibly upset. No yelling no name calling no hitting no rapey, just visibly upset.. that somehow constituted abuse. That was a major deciding factor moment for me to go my own way. Why be acused of horrible things when all I did was waste my time and effort and cash trying to prove something that doesnt matter. One of the most delightful things about going my own way is I no longer feel the need to prove anything. I dont see anyone lined up to prove anything to me, so well I gotta go with equality… go be strong independent woman. NFG 2017!!!
