Jeez, that eyesore looks like a collection of ergonomic, engineering and construction… doubtful solutions at best. The most obvious apparently that number of materials handle compression much worse than tension, I knew that by age of 9.

    Hey. Look at this.

Now look at the model of finished bridge…

Notice…. The ultimate goal was to put another segment on beyond the road and have a spur supporting the bulk with cable stays.
Yet they put the f~~~ing largest segment up with no cable stay support.

Way to go sweetcheeks. What was going to hold it up? Feelings?? Gravity don’t give a f~~~ about your feeeelings.

UPDATE: No Women engieers involved with Florida Bridge collapse.

What we have is nothing more than a feminist narrative article which had to be walked back immediately. Here is the Lie from a female writer.

Here is the engineer of record who signed off on the structure.

    W. Denney Pate, thirty year engineer with many bridges built. The engineering firm he worked for had a long history of solid bridges. He made the call to Florida transportation to tell them of the cracks. Too late. When an engineer calls you to discuss cracks in a bridge, well that would be “brown alert news”. My bet is on shoddy construction by the MCM contractor who has a shady history and lots of political contributions.
Here is more info on it from an engineering timeline. And more.
Whoever was in charge of tightening those tendons during daytime traffic seconds before it collapsed made a bad move. That tightening could have been the trigger. Figure we will eventually find out.

    Anyway.
The original “feminist puff piece” got called out in the comments.
“Johnny Journalist”, called Karen Cochrane (university spin expert) out on her hypocrisy.
“More like you wanted to work in some feminist angle into the article and had to be misleading in order to make it look like it wasn’t completely irrelevant to the story. There would be no other reason to misrepresent her as being involved in the project (which you clearly did).”

Before the bridge disintegrated, the school and MCM shamelessly flaunted Flores and other female engineers to promote their diversity and inclusion agenda.

Hours after WeAreMCM deleted a tweet showing a picture of Flores and her family watching the bridge swing into place, the company deleted its entire Twitter account — along with all the other false flag tweets suggesting women engineers played a role in building a bridge that once again divides a community.

NOW WHAT P~~~ES ME OFF THE MOST…. I BOUGHT INTO THE FANTASY THAT THE PROJECT WAS ALL WOMEN ENGINEERS.

Want to kick myself in the head for getting conned.

    F~~~ers.
