    oh yeah…
you probably have had them in a restaurant,
but when you make them at home they are incredible!
i had to shop around so as not to get ripped off,
dried peppers of all types are CHEAP at a bodega.
    .
here’s a vid to help you make them..

okay..the quality of the video is poor,
but the chubby grandma had it down right.
    ..ahem…
I did mine by boiling chicken breast like a chicken soup,
    w onion celery carrot garlic,
then remove and shred the meat.
mix with queso fresco ( a bland mexican cheese)
added some chopped onion and another cheese.
    like this lady..

mix the shredded chicken and put it in a baking dish,
sauce on the bottom roll the f~~~ers,
than top w some cheeses like a mexican blend.
    ..
    jar sauce sucks..
get the dried chiles and hook it up.
    you won’t regret the effort.

    ..

let it cool off and ENJOY !!!
    be creative,
    let the recipe GUIDE you.
    you are the chef!!!
add some chipoltes for smokey flavor,
    add jalapenos for heat,
add some sour cream to cool off the heat..
post a meal you made / comment please..
    gracias amigos !!!!

well, I made food. I cut up an yellow onion, a green pepper, orange carrots. Put them in a frying pan, added 4 oz of hamburger, and 1/2 cup of jalapeno peppers. Fried this up, drained. Then put this on tortillas with a little salsa and some american cheese. Also had some diet iced tea. Served with 2 oranges.

Cool! What model did you decide on? I just started doing more dishes using an electric pressure cooker. Pulled pork turns out great and only needs 40 minutes of cook time.

I prefer cooking everything in cast iron, enameled cast iron/steel, stainless steel cook ware over flames. (wood or propane)
I find everything tastes better that way.
I’ve just made a Tortellini with ground venison and tomato sauce (onion, oregano, garlic, fresh ground pepper, and basil), that I need to get some cheeses to shred so I can bake it tomorrow.

There was a time in my life when I gave a fuck. Now you have to pay ME for it

I use cast iron for most everything, except pasta.

I use a smoker / grill with hardwood charcoal made locally. Cast iron is also used in there as well.

My best steaks are smoked. 2″ cut, low heat with mesquite chunks. Last year I smoked a 15lb. boneless ribeye and made my own prime rib. Used my own rub, let it sit overnight and marinate, and it only took about 5 hours at 300° (average) to get the inside up to 140° serving temp. Best steak ever!

Don't chase tail. Turn yours around, walk away, and live free!

    Funny you should mention Stealthy.
His cooking threads, and the the threads/recipes of other members here, got me back into cooking and appreciating real food again.
Vice the bland utilitarian s~~~ I was cooking to subsist on.
