Mr. Shimabukuro is by far more skilled than I am.
I learned a slightly different version, some would say a bastardized version, some would say an improved version, shrug.
If you are not familiar with the book “Flashing Steel” and have an interest in such things, it is a good read.

Anyway, a 2 1/2 foot razor an inch from your belly is no joke. Enjoy.

Disclaimer: I am not nor have I ever been associated with Mr. Shimabukuro.
    {Edit: I have read the book that features him}

The linked video is for demonstration. To my eyes the movements are weak, if smooth.

    Chubri in particular looks sissy.

Truth is, this dude would cut you in half before you blink.

I remember last year visiting Cairns for a little run. I was walking from the hotel to the bus and passed a Karate Dojo that looked quite traditional. I peeped in the door to be greeted by Sensei, who was an elderly Japanese man who had a katana in his karate belt! I was completely astounded- I thought karate had weapons (Bo; Sai; Nunchucks) but had not seen swords in a Dojo. Needless to say Sensei explained that there was sword play. I suspect it would be illegal in my state. However, Far North Queensland is a little wild west, and I understand the Mayor was a keen patron of the Dojo so anything goes!

Afinogyny.. from the Greek Afino {to abandon/ to set down/ to leave /to allow/ to let } + Gyny {Women} MGHOW’s philosophy to not engage women without “hating them”. Narcorca =Narcissistic Orca typically spouting to a bathroom mirror taking an arms length selfie ; Wallinate describes post wall females whose SMV is terminally negligible New Years resolution "To not make women happy" . Instadestitue: yet another Neologism for Men that cohabit with women that decide to pull the handle of intervention orders.

Tower I agree, superior firepower is a good thing.

However, if the distance is right and you aren’t a world class quick-draw; you are dead.

    Fun fact.
    Judo
    Aikido
    Ju-Jitsu
    Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
    Sumo Wrestling
    Some forms of Karate
All share roots with weapons training.
The basic movements are the same, armed or disarmed.
