And the worse of it all is it always stemmed down to useless literature. People should educate themselves on something more technical like math, economics, mechanics, etc.

    What good is literature anyway?

Education is very often little more than indoctrination. Intelligence and education are two different things.

During the EU referendum all us leave voters were branded as unintelligent and uneducated. Funny that seen as I went to a Grammar School having passed 3 exams aged 11) and went on to go to University in London. I must be one of the 17 million uneducated. I had the sense to question things and no blindly believe everything it says in a book or on a television screen.

Don’t be an ass. There are just as many ignorant conservatives, very likely even more. Anyone could just as easily edit a series of gonzo interviews with rednecks and get the same result.

Idiots. Stop it – you’re making us look just as bad as the liberals you are judging.

Anyone who can’t comprehend the false dichotomy that is Liberal vs. Conservative for the elaborate “divide and conquer” scheme that it is, is no better than either.

I need to buy a vowel, because

    OH.

    MY.

    GOD.

Next question. “What is a vowel”.

ANSWER: “You mean like a VOWEL movement? I heard of that!”

collective consciousness is what springs to mind in the liberal education system that’s in the west. What have these dumb bastards learned at school besides graduating as even bigger dumbasses? People spend countless years in public schools like they’re in state prison and most are unable to do or cope with basic math or its concepts nor do they understand the economic driving force that keeps the world spinning. And don’t even get me started on political correctness in schools it’s down right revolting.

I’m not trying to turn this into a two party debate but I’m just showing the potential California had has now turned into ruin because of the dumbing down our schools and cultural marxism

Totally fair and I apologize if I overreacted. We do tend to get a bit polarized here and for me, GMOW includes walking away from the “two ideology and no more” system we have been raised with.

It’s free country and we have every right and even responsibility to “cherry pick” our issues. Just because I like my guns doesn’t mean (for example) that I don’t want my daughter to have access to a safe abortion if she ever decides to have one. That in turn doesn’t mean I wouldn’t tend to discourage her from having one, or better yet teach her how to avoid needing one in the first place.

Jut because I support free enterprise doesn’t mean I don’t want the law/governance to step in when it turns into Comcast.

This idea that we need to pick one team or the other for one thing we like, and swallow the turd sandwiches that come with it needs to end.

    “Educated”.

These motherf~~~ers will trumpet the fact that they’re “educated” but are total f~~~ing hypocrites. These people are dumb as f~~~ for the most part. Reading a book is very f~~~ing simple, but these morons don’t have the attention span to sit still and actually THINK for a few hours or even a few minutes… But they’re educated, dammit!

You sound frustrated Joey and I don’t blame you. A better question would be what is good literature? There is plenty out there but it is no longer taught in schools.

Remember Cicero’s famous admonition: a Home without books is a home without a soul.

It’s ok man I just think you were reading far into what I was trying to say. No offense taken and yes I am an ass and do have a big mouth so I’ve been called far worse things and no f~~~s were given. It’s just the Italian in me.

Good literature are those that are scientific and technical. The ones that are demonstrable with proof and evidence. These sort of books require a lot of persistence and mental effort. I have plenty of books and read on a daily basis but at least they train my mind and increase my IQ in the long run.

What I can’t stand are works of fiction which most people waste their time on. These books are BS and have no basis whatsoever in the real world.
