Worst part about being an alcoholic – you pretty much stay focused until you pass out. You think clearly, you type good. F~~~ing tolerance is no joke.
As far as women go and love for them? Same as children. I love children on a genetic level, but 1) they don’t love you back (unless they’re yours) 2) sometimes they’re intolerable 3) some children are outrageous as f~~~.

I haven’t been able to get really drunk since the Westpac of 76 when I got s~~~faced on Australian draft beer in Brisbane. But I have been known to get too drunk to type. Yeah, Heugen, I love them, too, dammit. God gave me a daughter, three nieces, and a lifelong female friend on the other side of the country. I love them and I hate them. I can’t explain it either. As a romantic I wear my heart on my sleeve. As a jaded pragmatist, I use that tactic to discern my friends from my ‘enemas’ as it were in social settings. I can immediately tell who the assholes are. I’ve got the sense of humor of Rodney Dangerfield, so I sometimes almost get into fights. Then I angrily add to whatever rant I’ve just hurled at them, “…and furthermore, if I were looking for a fight I would go home to my wife!” That usually shuts them up, or they laugh and tell me I’m in another world. Then I’ll find out later one of them is paying CS through the nose and he’s the one that wants to talk to me later. So, day by day, I’m always reminded of how wonderful women can be and how dangerous they usually are.
