Anonymous7I don’t remember when or where but I once read a hypothesis regarding Dragons.
From what I remember it goes like this…..
The Eastern and Western version of a Dragon are different but the same.In truth the Dragon (East or West) is a mashup of Apex predators.
Combine a large cat, a venomous reptile and a large raptor and what do you get?????? A dragon
The theory went that the most efficient predators where combined as a training aid.
If you saw something that had ‘Dragon’ features, it would kill you and eat you. Thus it was to be avoided and looked out for.
Don’t know if true but it is a cool hypothesis.
Besides, who doesn’t like Dragons?I do like dragons and especially like the new coin put out by The Royal British Mint .. Queen’s Beasts “The Dragon in both gold and silver.” I mean, the obverse side design of that coin is beyond awesome; a work of art.
However, as a kid, I was always scared to watch the television show “The Munsters” .. sometime, later on, I realized that it was mainly because they had a dragon supposedly living under that stairway. To this day, when I climb similar open staircases .. I sometimes reflect back at “Spot” .. living underneath the risers and who might emerge from his lair at any moment with me as a total sitting duck trying to climb the stairs .. to no avail.

I loved The Munsters. IMO much better than The Adams Family.

Anonymous42As a kid I used to draw and paint some pretty good dragons, at least that what people told me.

Care to share if you can and want too?
