Donald Trump vs Obama's Response to Gender Wage Gap

President Obama has publicly said that women get paid 77cents per dollar compared to men for the exact same work. Most people should know by now that the wage gap is a complete myth. It compares wages of full time men and women without accounting for the type of job, experience, and the number of overtime worked.

Many studies account for level of education, however a Degree in Engineering does not equal a Degree in history/english/physcology, roman art, etc……

Here’s Trump’s response when questioned about the wage gap.

“When women succeed, America succeeds,” President Barack Obama said Tuesday in remarks to commemorate Equal Pay Day and urge Congress to pass more legislation to close the gender pay gap.

Responding to critics who say the gender gap in pay has been overstated, Obama stated bluntly “It’s not a myth; it’s math.”

But critics of that methodology argue that the 77 cents calculation does not account for differences like preferences for job flexibility, risk level, education and hours worked weekly.

Apparently Obama, the Constitutional law professor, editor of Harvard Law Review, lawyer and chief executive is unfamiliar with US law. It is ALREADY illegal for someone in the exact same job as someone else to be paid less due to their gender. So yes it is a myth—and if its not he should open a law practice and begin suing! Good luck with that.
