The number 1 reason men don’t report it? Shame, embarrassment and not being believed especially by the Police.

However, I’m willing to let the past be the past if they’d all just fk off and leave us alone.

1 in 3 …… aka the fking same amount of DV comes from women.

It will be a fine world when they see a guy beaten up and a girl with busted knuckles and they don’t automatically think she was going in for “self defence”. There is no fairer sex- just different parts below the belt.

Men can be abused as adults, as kids, and in general. It’s a sad fact that people in every country don’t seem to get this. She may not be big, but she can always learn Judo or pick up a blunt object to deal some serious damage. Even worse, if he already was injured such as if he was disabled or she beat the crap out of him and it didn’t heal right (likely considering that abuse victims don’t tend to get medical help) then she has an even easier job of it.

I wish there were more men’s shelters out there. In the USA there’s the YMCA but that’s pretty much as good as you’re getting (that I know of) and, even then, it’s not the same as the private women’s shelters out there.

Beauty fades, dumb is forever.

I have experienced emotional abuse, had mates emotionally, financially and physically abused and 1 killed. Nothing happened to the woman btw!

You have no idea the scathing abuse I receive now from women when i raise this issue maturely when approached, “man up” also from the manginas’.

I will continue to support and spread the issue until more men are aware that it is ok to speak up.

It usually starts off with small snippy remarks and it grows if you don’t set your own personal boundaries. I had it grow to a point it which hearing the words — loser, sperm donor etc. but you are told as a   blue man to never hit women.

Society drills into your head– a happy wife makes a happy life.. For all of you out there married with this line of thinking in your head,  please step back and think about it from an outsiders stand point. Would you watch someone else get physically and emotionally abused and not say anything? probably not but you as the victim refuse to see the true!! If you don’t set the boundary early and fast you will be tramped all over. ( this is especially true for a married couple who have kids).

The abuser in my case (ex-wife) continued with the verbal attacks and eventually it will get physical. Its her way of exercising control over me. The more she does it, the more she respects you less until she gets to the point of seeing you as punching bag both physically and emotionally. The person being abused thinks if I just do this, it will stop. IT   DOESNT  F~~~N STOP!!!

What the video says about help for male domestic violence is true. First of all its embarrassing, especially if you tower over her. When I did ask for help, I was directed towards a local DV hotline. The woman answering the phone told me we don’t help men that batter their wives !! talk about a double standard. When this DV worker  finally got it, I was the victim she gave the answer ,  she said there really are not many males  calling for help and the resources are directed back towards the women.

Women DV abuser know they have that much more power over the man. Mine stated ” Who  is going to believe you a grown man or little old me?” She knew if I hit her I would be the one the cops come and take. I had one instant where I videotaped her throwing my clothes into a closet because the dresser was “her”. It got to the point where she got my phone. I threatened to call the cops, she said go ahead. I picked up her phone and started to walk into the bathroom, at which point she grabs my arm and leaves 5 fingernail scratch marks that drew blood. I left the house and went to a nearby family members house where I had someone take picture, then I went to the hospital. All this happened in front of my kids. My divorce lawyer advised not calling the cops and documenting it in the court papers.

The moral of the story is — if you are just dating a abusive person– KICK HER TO THE CURB ASAP!! IF you are married to an abusive person- SEE A DIVORCE LAWYER AND GET THE F~~~ OUT ASAP!! They will never change, they will only get worse!!!

I am only now  really starting to see how f~~~ed up the situation I was in. She has moved out and the damage is done. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Nip that s~~~ in the bud.

Dude! Good that you have confronted her but its really NOT ok! I know its hard to leave but truly consider it!
If she is “man” enough to hit you then you can hit her back. Eye for an eye brother!

Keep clam i'm dyslexic.

I wouldn’t even spend the time to deliberate on it. Kick her/it to the curb and be done with it. As for hitting her back, horrible idea. She has social stigma on her side and all she has to do is run crying to the police and lie to land you in the s~~~ and destroy your life.
