I hate the government, I hate labor unions, I dislike society in general. I was close to saying: “F~~~ it, I didn’t make enough money, I don’t need to file taxes, let me drop off the radar.”

But I wanted to continue receiving my HST return, and I knew I wouldn’t get it without filing a return. I put in all my info (in Canada there are free online programs that will do them and send in the return for you), and I got an awesome return!

I feel a great amount of satisfaction knowing the work I performed is going to me, and not a cent of which is going to the government leech or union parasite.

That may be considered a violation of my standing order to CEASE AND DESIST. You can’t serve two masters, you will end up loving one and hating the other, guess which one I hate?

In 36 years of employment and paying taxes so far, I can honestly say that I broke even 3 times and received rebates 3 times. The remaining 30 years I have paid additional taxes.
This tax year (2016) I made $10k less than 2015 yet owe almost $2700.00 in additional taxes. The joys of “minor” tax increases as a single man.
2017 tax year should be interesting considering I’ll be under $30k

    -Edit-
I should also note that in the last 4 years I dropped from $120k to $50k in earnings voluntarily. 2017 I will drop to less than $30k due to “disabilities”.

There was a time in my life when I gave a fuck. Now you have to pay ME for it
