Simple question. People have different views on their work. Does it matter if you need it or not?

I don’t need my job that is for damn sure.

    Don't care

I have too much knowledge and experience to do anything else. I’m multifaceted employed by myself. It would be like asking a doctor to become a lawyer!

Competition is killing me for now but I’m always outsmarting them and getting ahead by effort and attrition!

My motto is produce more with less and lower the price! The ole one two!

You don’t want to compete with MG-Tower and Co. You’ll loose!

A single man with no kids doesn’t need his job. Life is easier without a parasite of a wife, freeloading bastards, and a mortgage, or even a car note.

But, a slave who have these responsibilities need his job.

For now, yes I do. I need my job to carry my debt load which I am slowly working downward. But beyond that, I need my job for some feeling of worth, as I struggle on my days off to find something to do. That may change as I lower my debt load and am able to get back to actually ‘owning’ something… which allows me freedom to do what I want to it project wise, etc… where I’ll feel I have some value in ownership and can take some pride in it.

Even just mowing the grass weekly gave me a better feeling of being ‘needed’.

No longer can we walk away, we must run. Remove the motive power.

Yes I do. I like what I do and I will be a partner hopefully soon. I’m lucky to have my job.

    Peace is > piece.

I need the structure of a job…the responsibility for something. Otherwise I would start drinking in the morning and never stop! hehe

Yep I need my job. It puts a roof over my head and for my kids. It’s the only reason I still do what I do tho.

If I didn’t have the kids I would walk away and live a more interesting existence on little money and engagement with society as possible.

I personally do not value anyone’s “work” – as I believe it must be an ugly, slavery and religion based concept. I hold religion and work to be two sides of one treacherous coin, forming a dualistic concept based on fear and greed. That being said it is obviously every man’s right to choose slavery if for whatever reason he fancies the drama and illusion (the general appeal of pride, ego, etc.). — Clarification; this ideal applies only to general working/slave classes. Sophisticated work that I do value would be: Anything constructive/beneficial for humanity as a whole. Such as science, technology, art, medicine, etc.

Theoretically, no one needs their job. However, I’ll break down my personal views of a job when it comes to me.

First, I believe my first job is me. I need to be the top professional of myself. I need to know every aspect of myself in order to better move forward. I cannot take a day off from myself. I need to make my money work for me and master it like an evil genius masters his minions. My minions have become quite powerful.

Second, my second job is to my employer. Do I need this job? Not really. I am succeeding so fully on my first job my second job has become more of a hobby. At anytime I can walk away from my current position and not even worry about another paycheck for the rest of my life. My employment income subsidizes my passive income. However, I am not real sure what my next step is. Last August I took a month long vacation. After two weeks I became depressed due to the lack of productivity. Until I come up with another goal to keep my hands and mind busy, I will continue with my current profession. I get paid extremely well with this job. I pay more in taxes than I was paid on my first professional civilian job per year.

As far as “work” goes, everything in your life can be considered work. You will never escape work. It may be lawn work. It may be house work. Work is just something we all need to do. Embrace it and make the best of it. Certain jobs if you do it right the first time you will never have to do it again. Do it poorly you will have to continuously do it over and over again.

Don't stick your dick into anyone you aren't willing to put up with for eighteen years and nine months.

I just quited mine, I’m gonna get my s~~~ in my old beated up car and hit the road.

No plan, no direction and no f~~~ to give.

    Some patients where crying.

    But well that’s life.

Gonna look for a job at a Hospital to increase my cv and f~~~ing finally move to Ireland.

The only reason I “need” a job is to buy my house in the Caribbean mountains and retire at 50.

To those following me, be careful, I just farted. Men those beans are killers.

I’m a single man with no kids to raise, but if I want to keep the roof over my head, I need my job. No job, no home.

I think we all ‘need’ something to get up and do , a reason for getting out of bed. Whether or not you need a job for money, it’s still good to have a reason and a responsibility.

Not for me buddy, my reason to get out of bed are trees, sky, wind, etc. I do not find significance in any activity that might be appreciated or remunerated by anyone.

Just living is my reason to live, just enjoying a good meal, sit down and watch the sky.

I wish I wold never have to work ever ever again, for as long as I have food, a roof over my head and my guitar or music I DONT CARE.

Unfortunately I still need to work. But i damn sure dont need this particular job that Im in. I currently work for a company thats pretty much ignores and has no use for me. After a management shakeup, my new boss literally told me has doesnt know what to do with me. Eventually, going into the new year, their going to have to justify my salary.

My “team” is mostly women who I do not interact with. I’m hoping to jump ship to something new. It would be a big boost to start out the new year.

My goal is to be semi retired buy the time im 45. Ive got 7 years to achieve this goal. Im SICK of the corporate grind.

I’m working and saving/investing mightily until I have complete financial independence. Then, I’ll work only if it’s available AND I feel like it!

I stay where I am for now because it is comfortable. I have been here 17 years. I can surf the net, take one hour lunch breaks (I do 12 hour shifts). I know the job well enough. If they ever make it too uncomfortable I can easily leave.

I would probably get paid the same or more somewhere else for doing less to be honest.
