Also, I saw an article about surface ships and subs not getting repairs. Yet we spend billions on the F 35 and clitoral suicide ship.

At least you still have some planes to fly and working carriers to fly them off of.
This side of the pond we have two carriers still under construction 2 years late and £2Bn overbudget. The aircraft that are due to fly from them are an even bigger white elephant, may never be completed and we’ve already long since sold plan b to the USMC. On top of that the Navy are so short handed they’re having to go begging sexagenarian veterans to re-enlist to make up the crews.
Finally if all that wasn’t bad enough both the ships (type 45) and submarines (T-class) that are supposed to protect the things don’t work either, the majority of them currently in refit for design failures or falling apart due to old age while replacements are once again overdue and overbudget.
The words p~~~up and brewery spring to mind.
Bloody disgrace. We built the harrier for goodness sake. We built the world’s first -list is as long as my arm. Manchester is the world’s oldest industrialised economy.
We should have evolved the harrier and the the tornado and built our own ships with steel mad I n fcuking port Talbot and Sheffield.
75% of the world’s cotton products used to be made in Manchester.
But now well it’s a sick joke what was allowed and some believe deliberately encouraged to this country.

I saw that. I saw an article that said if the falklands war happened today, the UK could not win.

Anonymous42F~~~ all that!
Have people fly high explosive satellite interconnected Virtual Reality Vision drones into selected targets, I’m talking about glove size drones to eliminate one person, to 2,000 lbs of TNT to knock out a bridge hovering over the water and under the radar, I’m talking Quad Copters to inexpensive cruse style missiles with wing sweep retraction to slow down from mach 1 for an accurate hit made from the Virtual Reality Goggles you’ll be wearing, I could open up VR video stores across the country and people can play Kill-People via live feed! Remote control!
I wonder if Trump would go for it?

The Royal Navy had twice as many capital ships (battleships and battlecruisers) at Jutland than it has surface combatants today.
What a difference a century makes!Canada is pretty bad too.
Endless squabbling over replacements for the ancient Sea King helicopters that have dragged on for the past 20 years atleast.
Endless squabbling over replacements for aging CF-18 Hornets.
Endless squabbling over replacements for aging Navy ships, both the frigates and the support ships. This is especially dumb because we used to have a number of yards that had the capability to build military vessels. The ones we have left can’t seem to get their act together.
Bought worn out junk diesel submarines from Britain with major issues like crippling fires and engines that self destruct.
It is almost like they spend the most money to get the worst defense value.

They just dont talk to the people who have to do the fighting is all.
Have you ever heard the expression “War is a dirty Business”?There was a time in my life when I gave a fuck. Now you have to pay ME for it
I bet Putin is s~~~ting himself still I suppose good old Britain is the world centrr for development of chemical and biological weapons. They only do it for research though just in case.
yes an my penis is 7 feet log.
Pathetic the continued demonisation of Russia and the brainwashed blue pill masses will lap it up.
And then the trump face on the same one party system will use Iran to provoke China and Russia.
Nevermind the fact that Iran have never started agro with anyone.
As my avater says it’s all…

Nah. Argentina’s military has gone even further downhill.
The next generation of ships are carrier killers and subs with surface ship capable cruise missiles. The aircraft carrier and other ships are history against hypersonic missiles. Forget Aegis – the Russians can jam that.
There is no point upgrading for something that is of no real use in a superpower fight. And you don’t need them against terrorists riding camels or Toyatas.
Just a bunch of expensive floating coffins nowadays.
