Absolutely goddamn right! Did anyone see “That sugar film”? Its an Australian film but don’t hold that against it! This guy eats about 2000 calories a day, half of which is provided by fats, good healthy vegetable fats like nuts and avocados. As an experiment he cuts out the fats and instead replaces those calories with sugar. But its not just any sugar, its sugar in products which are supposed to be good for you, like fruit juices and muesli bars. After a month he had gained a ton of weight, has signs of a fatty liver and is well on his way to diabetes. And that’s after only a month!! Its worth noting the amount of sugar which is in virtually every processed food, even pasta sauce has a ton of sugar in it. Much better to learn to cook from good quality raw ingredients, not only is the food delicious it is also cheaper and you know exactly what is in it.

you can’t trust even fresh foods these days.
they’re probably sprayed with God knows what – Round up, fluor-based pesticides, coated with some film for transportation and freshness, or are GMOs
    we’re f~~~ed.

Suger, salt, fatt are the three food intake substances that the brain reacts strongly to. Basically the whole population is addicted to suger added to foods.

Start with cutting soda’s, suger biscuits stuff and chocolate out of your food intake. I also avoid lots of processed foods nowadays.

Luckily I never had a sweet-tooth to speak of. I’d rather eat some meat than candy
As an avid tea-drinker – the hardest part for me was to quit putting sugar in my tea. Now – I don’t even notice there is no sugar in it.
I do however notice sugars in the food, beer, liquor – and it’s disgusting.
I can’t even eat BBQ ribs anymore because of all the sugar it’s coated with. I can, but it tastes bad
but when I have I choice – I buy foods containing sugar rather than HFCS which is GMO toxic s~~~ syrup that f~~~s your health up even worse than sugar does.

Its not just processed foods, you can get organic fruit but if you juice them they are still very high in sugar. Say you juice 4 organic apples and drink the juice, that would be 24 grams of sugar and 113 calories. Fruit and veg are only good for you if you eat them whole, do not juice them or make smoothies.

Everything that’s super-easy for body to process and get energy out of – fats, sugars jacks your metabolism and reward system in a bad way.
Analogy: You can be chewing coca leaves all your life and live to be 100+ yo, but if you start mainlining pure coke – you’ll die of cardiac arrest at 30

On the other hand, your body needs sugers, glucose for energy. Just avoid excess suger and know that suger in itself is not bad.

Too much of anything is bad for you.

I’ll go ahead and eat nearly everything, never were worried about gaining weight and the most I ever weighed was 170lbs, I’m now at 70 kilos and in the best shape for my age group, but sugar I cannot go without. It’s my energy.
Sugar in coffee, tea, bakeries, cookies, rice milk sugar, rum cake, Twinkies, candies, Arabic pastries are very sugary and sooo good, made with honey; chocolate cookies, pastries… I always consumed an ungodly amount of sugar in all its forms since very little but I’m also a ball of nerves and I spend a lot of energy throughout the day, at work and then lifting weights.
I might be sugar deficient because I should be diabetic by now. Instead I feel great!

Man, I see that you are using fructose sugar as quick energy, but you can do the same with glucose sugar in the form of starches since that form of sugar that is not as toxic. Instead of eating sugar from all those sugary foods that you mentioned above, instead, try eating whole grains like whole grain breads with no added sugar or brown parboiled rice or even potatoes. Fructose sugar puts a lot of fat on the kidneys which can create a lot of complications while glucose is suppose to be the energy of life which is suppose to feed the whole body. I dare you all to try a no added sugar diet in a form of not having fructose like fructose corn syrup(the bane of all civilization) and even sucrose(a sugar with fructose and glucose together) and even fructose itself and you are gonna see real differences in your energy levels as well as how much weight you lose as well as how much less you will eat since added sugar also makes you eat more.

Added sugar is actually very inflammatory for your body which means that you are actually gonna age faster.

If you like tea and you would like to find something to sweeten it with, then I would suggest something called stevia. Its a leafy plant, whose leaves have the strange property of tasting kinda sweet. But there is no glucose in them. You can usually find more refined forms of stevia at health food stores. It comes as a fine white powder, kinda like powdered sugar. Careful though, a little bit goes a very long way.

Thank you for the advice. I will pay closer attention to the different sugars I take in. I’m now working to regain good weight after shedding 40 pounds and I have to say I’ve quit a few bad eating habits as I’m nearing 50.

Untamed- you must have unusually high T – which prevents fat accumulation and promotes high metabolism. But it’s not IF your T will decline, but when – so watch out.

Budtao- once I weaned myself off sugar in tea – I don’t desire it in it anymore, so I don’t need stevia. Plain tea tastes just perfect for me now. It’s amazing how this works

You are right, Russky. I don’t know what is “high T” but I know that from a certain age I need to change my eating habits for risks of getting overweight and I’ve already started. I now eat more vegies and fruits and watch my portions. Juices and tea instead of soda and coffee. Nuts instead of candies…

Maybe you should scratch the fruit juices that is basically fructose with vitamin C and no fiber to stop you from making you feel hungry, and switch that with coffee(it is 0 calories and you can also get it as a decaf form) with a bit of 1% milk where the fat and protein from the milk can actually help suppresses your hunger a bit. Try also mineral water if you can get it in the cheap. If you want fructose, it is better having it from a whole fruit itself since it has fiber in it to help make you feel full at least. I even eat whole grain pastas with my home made tomato sauce which also has it’s own fiber since it is from strained tomato jars I get. Make sure you get glass jars and not tin cans though because tin cans put toxins in the sauce, especially since tomato sauce is acidic. If you can at least take some of my advice, good luck!
