When I got out of the Navy I interviewed with the phone company. The interviewer told me flat out that they were required to interview candidates like me, but they had to hire only women because of affirmative action. Today, my ex-girlfriend works for the phone company…she was hired the same year under affirmative action. She has the phone company retirement package, not me. Affirmative discrimination.
