Anyone have experience/knowledge of bitcoin and the numerous other cryptocurrencies out there.

I saw that Ethereum was being endorsed by some of the global mega corporations a few weeks ago and was lucky enough to buy some at $31.00.

    It is now near $80.00.

It is hugely risky and I only put a small amount in it.

I believe this is just getting started though.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Consider how a young girl will toy day after day with a child, dance with it and sing to it; and then consider what a man, with the very best intentions in the world, could do in her place.” Quote from Arthur Shopenhauer, 17th century philosopher

I have some experience in cryptocurrencies, and I followed Ethereum for a while because I wanted to try some investment. In my opinion, you did a good move making only a small investment. In the past months Ethereum had a certain number of oscillations. It was enough to make some (risky) gambling in the short term, completing trades in days and even hours sometimes, like I did. In that period, I didn’t want to risk much money, but I managed to bring some profit in. That said, especially with corporations pumping this coin, I would move with caution. Depending on how much Ethereum you bought, I would wait for a rise of the price, let’s say around 90$ more or less. If the price is stable, I would sell some once that price is reached and keep the other until a sharp drop starts to appear, because I think it could be possible. That’s my 2 cents.

Sold half my initial investment when it hit $50.00. this is not my serious investment $. I can hold for a few years and see how it plays out. It does look like digital currency has a place in society. It’s just not clear yet how much it will have impact. Fun money – we’ll see.

I can’t still foresee the real future impact of Ethereum, too. However, in general it seems that the cryptocurrencies are gaining some traction. By the way, send me a PM whenever you want. 🙂

Just sold the other half of my original investment. Letting the gains ride.

I just sold another $1k at $125. Still have $2k riding. If it drops back under 100 I may pick up some more. Either that or dip into Litecoin.
