Yes. Well known, it’s in the Bible in Proverbs. Essentially the fool babbles everything, while the wise man keeps knowledge to himself.

One of the biggest reason this happens is because foolish people will always argue the truth/correct knowledge. And fools are brilliant at arguing, because they don’t worry about being correct, or logically consistent, and can never admit being wrong to anything. Of course women are the same, but all women are fools.

There is an interesting corollary to this, in that the larger group of people you have, generally the dumber they all become. This is also why higher education is a bastion of idiotic liberals, who all circle jerk each other on how smart they think they are.

If being here has taught me nothing else though, it is that a man depending on his own wisdom is like a tree with a single root in the ground.It’s not going to last very long. That is very true. I think because there’s so much info out there people wouldn’t know what to do with them so they prefer to be sheep instead.

Well I find that knowing stuff seems to p~~~ people off. Is that what you’re talking about?

I had a somewhat weird experience several weeks ago. A buddy of mine asked me to have a look at a laptop computer that he was having trouble with. There was physical damage to it that you can see with your own eyes.

I explained to him what was broken and how to fix it. He (and his wife) then got p~~~ed at me and insisted that I was wrong. I then showed them a serviceable computer and what it is suppose to look like but that only made them more p~~~ed.

I’m not sure why people behave like that but it makes me less inclined to explain s~~~ to others…
