I was born in the mid 60s. In the early 70s, as a small child, an older sister brought this feminism crap home to my mother, and for a while it seemed like they never shut up about it. And when they talked about, they were mad. They seemed to be mad that they were ‘equal’ but were being somehow cheated out of their ‘equal’ share of something. I was about 6 or 7 years old at the time, but I was old enough to see my dad working his ass off. I saw my sisters getting money handed to them, and me and my brothers being told if we wanted money, we should expect to work for it. At about the same time, I started hearing that when I got older and got a girlfriend, I was going to be expected to pay her way on a date.

In the mid 1970’s, before I was even 10 years old, and before I was old enough to be chasing girls at all, I was already getting suspicious and asking WTF? I went along with it as teen ager and younger man when my hormones affected my judgement. But I never really trusted what I was hearing from women. I was fortunate that the hormones were wearing off by the time my career took off and I started making real money.

What I never thought was that it would take so damn long for other men to start catching on to this bulls~~~. Marriage rates are collapsing lately, but that should have happened 30 years ago…

Look, it's not my fault that tornado dropped a house on your sister. Now get back on your broom and get your ass out of here... and take your monkeys with you

Even the high price escorts are panicking because there are just so many whores now that they aren’t getting the business they used to.

Is prostitution stigmatized, socially, in Australia?

For example, if a man or woman asks you what you did over the weekend, is it not a big deal to say – “Went to the brothel”.

I’m just curious, because the concept of it being legal is so foreign to me in the States.

You wouldn’t just tell anyone although some of course will just blurt it out. For example I posted a thread a few hours ago about a guy I work with whose fiancé is s stripper. He just blurted it out in the room.

He didn’t sound like he was proud either. But yeah for some it is just a job or service.

A man would get the usual shaming crap “can’t ya get free?” A woman would be called or seen obviously as a whore.

Strip clubs people will be more open about. Aussie society as a whole is kind of conservative in its own way when it comes to sex.

I hadn’t dated very long before I had realized that dating was a farce. I’m doing all the work and spending all the money and what i get out of it is sex, where even there i’m doing most the work. But that was long before MGTOW was even a thing, i’ve been mgtow or rather suspicious of female motives for a very long time and then one day i found out about MGTOW and i realized i’ve been one all along. Since coming here my eyes have been opened even wider by other peoples experiences and postings to articles. I remember at a very very young age my dad once said to me, son don’t ever get married. Unfortunately i didn’t really listen to him but I was able to get out of that mistake relatively well.

    Edit.

    Resident cynic.
