‘He needs a good woman’ (Thinks: Then I can get him to sell all that land and buy me a big house in town).

Too far for my taste, but probably not far enough for others.

Ask me again in a couple/few years and see what the answer is…….

Looks OK to me. I have often contemplated it. Planning laws round here would make it impossible. You must submit to the gynocentric machine. You must build to building regs (so it is all up to female wish standards) and pay council tax (so the ladies get their council services).

A woman is like fire -fun to play with, can warm you through and cook your food, needs constant feeding, can burn you and consume all you own

That is my idea of Heaven! The isolation wouldn’t bother me a bit. I can’t get far enough away from other people. I’m just surprised that there is anywhere in North America where they would allow you to live like that. He’s probably in violation of local laws. He’s just happens to be living somewhere where they’re not enforced…

John is a great guy. I’ve been on that front porch. I still plan on being his neighbor. Check the sig.

He keeps plenty busy. He’s also completely legal for the area, zero zoning or building restrictions. Brewster County is the Wild Wild West.

I failed to realize in my youth that I was the prize. I was going to work. I was going to earn. Little did I realize that due to feminism, that no longer meant I had to share. Road soon, Desert after.

You know him?? He used to live upstate,NY(I am guessing around Rockland Co.). Years ago a mass migration out of the city(post 9-11), drove the property taxes there wayyy up in a hurry. Elders could no longer afford to live in their own homes due to high property taxes.

Other than perhaps the middle of the Pacific Ocean, this is the first that I’ve ever heard of a place like that. Does the guy actually own the property that he lives on? I think I’ve finally found my retirement destination… 🙂

People have built multiple Adobe structures, domes, lean tos to park a camper under.

It’s one of the last places anywhere to be left to your own devices. Here is the air bnb listings for what locals have in the area. If you can rent it, they already built it. https://www.airbnb.com/s/Terlingua–TX–United-States/homes?adults=1&children=0&checkin=&checkout=&refinement_paths%5B%5D=%2Fhomes&allow_override%5B%5D=&s_tag=VuuceeIP

Edit: Darryl. We aren’t best buds, but yes I talk with John frequently. He rented his NY house and lived in the shed before moving to the desert. He made a small fortune selling the house, and he’s lived there for over a decade after buying his 80 acre plot.

Never, that’s really the point. He has a 6 gallon +/- solar shower, and an outhouse.

+1 JVB. He’ll be one of the last people alive on the planet. Zombie apocalypse, nuclear war, pole shift causing flooding. Millions will perish and he’ll only know because the internet went out.

It’s still what he chose, and I wish I had started when he did.

I probably would put just about the same money into a used, but good shape … forty three foot sailboat
they depreciate fast ..would be like a “tiny house” on water, wouldn’t need land, vehicle or four wheeler
    ..or anything

I swear a bunch of us should pool our money together, buy a piece of land, and build an awesome MGTOW log mansion. I’m sure each and every man would contribute something, whether it be money upfront, building/electrical/plumbing skills, musical entertainment, beer brewing, hunting skills, etc. No need for wage slavery in the cash economy, just a bunch of men living like this guy. What an idea, and what a middle finger to the current system.

I prefer acreage in the suburbs where none of your neighbors know who you are.

My neighbors think I’m the guy hired to mow the lawn.

Arizona, and Nevada are hot spots for this. Many times you just don’t even pay taxes. Can’t really take the land with you. So why bother? Its more like trailer park living but there is no one around you.

There are HUGE areas in Nevada that are just empty. Still have some kind of dirt road access of the main road. But for the most part, these folks just find whatever is about a mile out of the way, park their rig, and live life just like everyone else. And an real luxarary too.

Have you seen some of the Trailers out there today? Some look better than some luxury apartments.

You bring in the water with your truck, move as you see fit and clean up after yourself, and life is pretty easy, cheap and good.

You are all alone. If you have been falsely accused of RAPE, DV, PLEASE let all men know about the people who did this. http://register-her.net/web/guest/home
