The only reason I even keep it up is to keep in touch with friends and family that live far away. But when I hop on there, all I see is a bunch of thirsty ass skanks. I’ve known f~~~book was a lame ass waste of space since 2008 or so, and have never spent all day on it. I’m on it very seldom, always have been, but I’m half tempted just to quit all together.

This is really where you see the generational differences.

I grew up without facebook and I always disliked it. Eventually I was pestered enough to make one, which I barely used, and then just erased entirely.

Those that grow up with it seem to not be able to fathom not having one and not wasting time on it.

I assure you however, you can easily do without it. And all those people that you say you want to keep up with? If they give a s~~~ about you they’ll call, e-mail or visit you. And if they can’t even be bothered to do any of those things, really why do you need them in your life?

Been several weeks since I got any emails from Facebook guy so obviously I wasn’t and am not that important to him. I made the decision to move on and leave him behind. Don’t want dead weight in my life.

I actually have toyed with the idea of going off the internet for a while. The longest I went was one week on two different trips into the wilderness where I didn’t have anything electronic other than an old MP3 player and a cheap digital camera. That first time was extremely eye opening, I didn’t find myself missing the internet, or the computer the way I thought I would. I learned to appreciate the peace, serenity and old fashioned ways of entertaining ones self.

As a testament to the decaying nature of modern culture, this so called “social media” garbage website within a few years became worth hundreds of billions of dollars simply by extracting information from their users and marketing it to advertisers. The kid who founded it became worth billions before he was 30. Meantime, the healthcare company I worked many years for, without naming names, has been around for over 85 years. It has pioneered life saving medicines and devices that are used around the world every day and without, millions could not sustain their lives. Yet this essential business is worth a fraction of what “slutbook” is on the market and took years and years to build on the sweat of workers around the globe. Go figure. I guess re posting a picture of some chicks titties on the beach in Hawaii or someones birthday brat is more valuable than saving a life. I fear for our future.

In my late 30’s last I was on facebook years ago. Well, an old high school ex who had hit the wall after having a few kids with her husband was coming on to me in private facebook mail or whatever…. When I showed no interest in her post wall married mess she went on to tell all her girlfriends that I was gay. That is facebook for ya, it’s like being in high school again. Except when you get older 90% of them are fat, smashed face, and unf~~~able. And if you don’t want one of these wrecks for an evening or two despite the fact that they now look like Kathleen Turner, you WILL be shamed.
