He worked while she took time off work to study paint and write (which she didn’t succeed at). She left him for the neighbour with a flat in negative equity, debts and she took the car. He just didn’t really sleep for several months, he punched walls, he had to go out for walks round the park when sensible people were going to bed and if you walked anywhere with him he utterly smoked you. You couldn’t keep up with him. I thought he was going to get himself killed from burn out somehow by getting s tired he walked under a bus. The anger devoured him. I can only imagine that if he had happened to see her and she had said something to provoke him he might just have exploded and killed her with a kitchen knife or a bowling ball or whatever was in his hand at the time. He never said anything to suggest violence but he was innerly seething with suppressed anger and self loathing for what he had willingly let her do to him.

Blue pillers are a danger to themselves because they treat themselves like crap and hate themselves for it inside.

Branched – that was one of the best posts I have read here in months. Tons of truth in it. Your friend was not nearly alone – hopefully he found like-minded others to decompress with and to see the pattern that he was only a bit player of.
